Sorry for not expressing myself properly...what I meant by manager & Toney situation is that we need someone who has a chip on their shoulders, attitude and certain presence that differs from rest of the team. We need more of that type of players because the team is too nice, we need some 'bad boys'!
What a farce, sounds like we can't even organise a medical properly! Looks like my prediction will be right, he will be unveiled in front of the Emirates crowd on 7th August against Xhaka's Bayer Leverkusen. I will be there so hopefully can get the Calafiori chant going!
@@MrRobo19TV Yes I'll be at the Bayer Leverkusen Arsenal game on 7th August. I'm hoping it's a good game and we see what system we'll be playing with this season.
I have a similar feeling to you about this season. I fear that we could regress and this fanbase on social media is not ready it. It will hit us like a train when it comes. Teams very rarely challenge three seasons in a row without winning a trophy. Usually teams will drop off in either the third campaign or shortly after. If we have key injuries to Rice or Odegaard, the team will fall apart as those who come in to replace them cannot sustain the same level. I hope that I'm wrong and we get over the line this season. If we don't get over the line this season then it's over. Even if Mikel won't be sacked he will be back in the Top 4 race next season. The fanbase won't stand for it after being so close to glory.
Exactly. Sad part is, if it happens, only a margin of fanbase will be on Arteta's case. Rest of them will say 'at least we got top4. Next seaskn we will go again.' Based on social media, large portion of fanbase legit think this is acceptable and will find an excuse for everything- either injuries, either drop off, either something else but never admit, that Arteta is not it. I hope we win title this season but sooner or later drop off is coming and by looks of things, the fanbase are not ready to accept the hard truth.
@@MrRobo19TV I think there will be many who make excuses but a lot more people will be questioning Arteta. Plus the media will be on his back which will swing a lot of opinion. I try to remember that it's not just the fanbase on social media but those who are at the games or those down the pub. Also many of the positive fans have made a rod for their own backs by saying that as long as Arteta doesn't regress they will back him. One thing I am sure of is it will get very toxic and Arteta could become a divisive figure like Wenger did in his later days. Perhaps rival fan banter may make fans on social media pull plug on Arteta.
@@peppermintfreedom true but tbf we lost to city by 5p and by 2p, this season we can lose 10+p, is that a regress or just unlucky season? Because if it's 10+ points, we are not talking about 1 or 2 games any more, it's 4, 5, 6 games 🤔
@@MrRobo19TV It's a hard one, I think Ruiz is better but Merino probably fits our system betterr. I just want more bodies in midfield that can help us. And the marquis signing should be Victor Gyok.
Yeah we need that! One certain level I wish Arteta lowkey would mix it up, play Ø at #10 and play with 2 8s like Ruiz/Merino and Rice or something since it doesn't look like we will sign a proper #6 since market is very soft. I am giving up on that #6 role slowly. Haven't had a proper Vieira replacement there for 17 years.
@@MrRobo19TV Arteta is under massive pressure to get our formation and tactics right this season. The problem is he makes these silly errors in certain games that costs us massively. He doesn't mix it up enough or make in game changes that win us the big games.
I made a CALAFIORI song (to the tune of 'La Bamba' by Ritchie Valens): Cala-fiori Cala-fiori He drinks Peroni, he eats the pasta His hair's fucking massive One, two, three, four Cala-fiori Cala-fiori *And so on and so on goes the chant*
I believe that CALAFIORI will make his debut at the Emirates vs BAYER LEVERKUSEN on Wednesday 7th August. This will be the marquee signing that we will unveil as KSE has informed the project that we will not give any more money until we get an ROI. This is why we must sell the players I noted below for the fee that I estimated.
I wouldn't say genius but he has done some good job but still, given how things have went, still LOTS AND LOTS are left to be desired, especially since we make same mistakes year in, year out!
Please don't compare United to Arsenal. Arterta has one 3 trophies with only one being a title and challenged for the title 2wice. United under ETH won 2 trophies in 2 seasons with only 1 being a title that got them UEFA if not, it would have been worse! PLEASE BE REAL! ETH had world-class players and was woeful all season finishing last in the UCL! Arterta will never survive the scrutiny if the roles were reversed! ETH never challenged for the title! Didn't beat us in how many meets and DONT FORGET......HE IS MORE EXPERIENCED THAN ARTERTA WHISE FIRST JOB IS ARSENAL. C"MON MAN....
Tomiyasu is going down the unfortunate route of Kieran Tierney who has been racked with injury woes. This fanbase needs to keep the same energy that they have for Tierney when assessing Tomiyasu.
@@MrRobo19TV I thought we'd fixed the medical team when we shipped that fraud Gary O'Driscoll to Man U. Seems we still have incompetence in either our training methods or medical personnel. Many have said that Colney pitch feels like playing on a hard surface. We need to look at all possible factors.
Unfortunately he will not be much use to us if he's always injured. However, I fear that we will struggle to get a good fee if these injury woes continue.
All depends. Technically 2 more games only...HOWEVER... last game is mid January, which means no winter break and that mightnbe costly. That saved us last season...
Excited about Calafiori? I'm kinda content. Need more and need more asap + need some starting caliber players even tho it's been said Arsenal won't sign any big players this window!
Don't believe that hype. There are no more expensive players anymore if you have noticed. PSR has reduced all prices drastically! Even Nico Williams is not expensive to buy. Edu and Arterta are keeping their cards so close to their chests that they know who they are monitoring and when to pounce! They haven't spent any of the £200 million made available to them for transfers.
Tbf Nico, just like 99% of players on Spain, has release clauses...its mandatory by the league rules so that's why so cheap...but he is on nearly 200k a week atm, so that won't be cheap 😅 I don't think Kroenkes have given money, I think they have said that they will give it IF Edu proves he can sell because we had to sell/loan 2 players to get the deal done amd we are not moving much forward atm in new transfers, which leads me to believe its true. + when arsenal has ever sold before signing...we sign and then yolo the sells.
It is wild. You couls argue top10 if fully fit and 100% form but also hard to argue for a guy who has said himself that scoring goals is not his strong part + overdribbles many times in box and dus loses possession
@@MrRobo19TV I was frustrated last year because every time I heard this kid's name he was scoring 6 or 7 goals in the same game. And the Arsenal coaches didn't think this was strange? He should have immediately been promoted to U21's to see if he could keep the same level. If he couldn't keep that level then we'd have been able to judge his talent better. But they just let this kid languish at U18 level. Lamine Yamal plays in a Euro final and they're telling me they couldn't have promoted Obi Martin to U21 or to first team bench? If Lamine Yamal had been at Hale End he'd still be playing with the teenagers.
No wonder Juventus backed out! Bologna signed a bad deal now are telling Basel to lower their profits. Bologna...Smh Bologna are currently working on a replacement. The backup for Arterta is Inacio bit Inacio is not a great ball carrier like Calafiori in my opinion.
Exactly. But now also they are saying Arsenal want to include Kiwior in deal eith obligation to buy, but Kiwi said NO CHANCE IN HELL. And now Arsenal are 10mil euro short in valuation and are haggling. I swear if it's August and we have signed no one...it will get peak
