1Timothy chapter 2 .....9 And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. 10 For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do. 11 Women should learn quietly and submissively. 12 I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. 13 For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve. (truth!...why is this never preached?)

Great history and insights of the most underrated and underestimated revivals in history. It had a massive impact for decades. As its influence wanes today, it appears another fire may have begun at Asbury in 2023. May the Holy Spirit inspire us to fan the flames and see it spread across the nation and around the world. Oh how we need revival!
I'm an ex-Jesus person and I only see lies and hypocrisy according to worldly standards amongst today's Fundamentalists and Evangelicals. For example: I just saw Yael Eckstein head of the Jewish and Christian ministry to "help" Israel. Yael was interviewing Pat Robertson's son Bob. You are all old enough to remember Pat's bid for the American Presidency. And you all know that Pat is Assembly of God. Pat's son lied before God and man stating that he was raised . . . Baptist! Like his father whose pentecostalism in part, stood in his way of being viewed as "balanced", so both Bob Paterson and Yael lied to reach Jews to give money to "help" Israel who supposedly ignores its aging. Holocaust survivors. Raised a Baptist? Really! I call this "lying by the Christ God, the lying God Christ". I Corinthians 9: 19-22. As long as there is breath in my body, I will warn both Jew and non Jew against the Christian New Testament predatory behavior of faith based lying. Your calling is supposedly to recover me from darkness: but how can you do that with similar lying on all sides? For instance the KJV version of the New Testament uses Christ as a proper name very frequently. The ASV The NAS The New International Version follow older mss which use Christ as a proper name much less frequently -- though this is recognized by A.T.Robertson in his mammoth grammar that the mss have changed the title Christ to a personal name under the influence of the earliest Christians' theology. To correct, then. The NT text would require "conjectural emendation"; but Jesus was not born to Joseph and Mary Christ -- Matt. 16:16-18-- and the correction is necessary because "Jesus Christ" is an impossible reading. Besides Robertson compare the great Johanine scholar Leon Morris' volume on Johanine Christology: without quoting Robertson he agrees that "Jesus Christ" is not possibly original. So are your mistranslations any better than that of the Jehovah's Witnesses? Every condemnation of the Witnesses from Van Baalen's Cults and Isms to Walter Ralston Martin deserve to be heaped not only upon these twain. But upon anyone who knows NT Greek who refuses to correct the text. To hate the Truth is to hate Jesus John 14:6 Supposedly. You love a lie and teach others to do the same; I have been a Reform Jew now 27 years: I do not need to whitewash mistranslations! I thank God -- not the Trinity -- that I have been saved from strong delusion!
I was 18 in 1971. I observed the "Jesus Movement" from the inside. I saw no miracles, no lives changed. The music was lame and the subculture was cult like. It was a Hippie wanna be movement for Christian young people to enjoy being hip and cool without really any commitment. I cringe when I remember those times. What utter nonsense it all was. By the way, my father went to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in the mid 50s. I grew up in Evangelical Christianity and to be honest, I believe in the Gospel in SPITE of church. I've come to the WONDERFUL TRUTH of APOKATASTASIS..the Ultimate Restoration of all things to God through the work of Christ's death and resurrection on our behalf. ALL of us, Hitler, Stalin, YOU and ME included. No more countless walks up the aisle for rededications and or " true" repentance to convince a wrathful God that we "mean it this time!" God is the Author and Finisher of our faith." Revivals are fads. External human impulses. Knowing the TRUTH is a steady, peaceful experience that needs no prodding, needs no Stockholm Syndrome to coax a spiritual response to God. No arm waving, no silly Jesus love songs. Just letting the trappings go and living in God's nurturing love without need for constant reassurance.
What these men are talking about was real and it was a global stunner!... this out pouring was roughly from 68 - 80.....I was saved in 78 and enjoyed what seemed to be a constant immersing in the presence of Jesus Christ....it faded beginning in 1980, but I had it inside me (still do) ....I always tried (with young people) and as a youth pastor to stir it up again...and it happened, but only in small groups and not for long...well into the 90's....Jesus is sneaky....it will happen again, it will be "deeply protected", this time it will be more powerful and underground (obviously with some public exposure)......the land will soon cry in repentance!
The move is still happening and Waymen Mitchell tapped into what God was doing in the Jesus people movement in Prescott Arizona and today Christian Fellowship Ministries is still impacting nations with the Gospel with some 3500 churches in 120 nations coming from that original Prescott congregation of 25 people. Pastor Mitchell always said what God had done and was doing is a work of God and not of man. Thank God that he moved and what has happened, is happening and what God is about to do in these last days.
