I like wasting my money on rotted classic cars that no one else would bother saving. every car I've owned in chronological order: 1959 Morris Minor 1974 MG Midget 2001 Pontiac Aztek 1967 MGB 1966 NSU prinz 1000 1972 Citroën DS21 Pallas Jubilee 1977 Lincoln Continental Town-Car 1940 Plymouth Deluxe-Sedan 2003 Volkswagen Golf 1977 Porsche 924 2002 Kia Spectra 2001 Dodge Ram 1949 Morris Minor Convertible 2007 Pontiac Solstice
In order of improving taste I'd say. Now you are fully qualified to level up to a Subaru 360 and anything AMC 😃 Get the Goggomobil go go going because that's 100% cool 🤓 And multiple classic Citroen? 😚 As Bender would say, "good choice" 😊
I change my temp sensor an my Aztec temperature goes up to 3/4 then the fans turn o and come down to 1/2 is that normal or do I need to buy a new temp sensor also put a new thermostat.
Hi there, Really appreciate the video very much. Love your energy and expertise. I’ve got nasty oil leak on my 1985 924 2.0. Looks like tits coming from oil filter housing gasket as above sump. I think I’ve also got a sump gasket leak. In your experience do you think it’s possible to pull the oil pan off for gasket replacement with the engine in the car? Driveway amateur mechanic with limited experience. Many thanks, Graham 🙏🏼
I think it could be possible, but you'd most likely have to drop the cross-member as well. I honestly don't remember if it's the engine cross-member is the detachable one or not, as this was about a year ago, but I'll check the car when I get home from work
Its been a bit quiet lately. Hope all is well. Your approach to fixing this car is interesting and it is respectable that you manage without the access to stuff and information we have here in the Netherlands. Within a radius of 25 miles, I have two dedicated ds workshops, 2 parts suppliers that sell everything and the citroen ds club is also nearby, so any needed advise is very accessible. I guess that all makes it somewhat easier. Hope you make progress and ha😮ng in there.
It has been a bit hasn't it! I was having problems with RU-vid on this channel. The car is nearly on the road. I've got clips of the car on my second channel @Automotive_Madness. I'm also working on a rather long video on rebuilding the car to put on that channel. Go check out "@Automotive_Madness"
The mesh below the rear bumper is a diffuser. The ugly license plate holder at the front can be pulled directly out with some force; you can use heavy duty velcro to relocate the plate off side so you can show off the unique trademark grille. Be sure to release the inside windshield latch before operating the trunk button; those 2 rear buttresses should not be under strain upon opening. The 2.4 Ecotec engine will likely last longer than the turbocharged GXP engine. Never close the hood without closing the doors first. Do not push down on the trunk humps; they will easily dent. Enjoy!
honestly really impressed with your work its inspiring me to want to work on my ds, keep up the good work. How did you learn how to do all this problem solving with the car, its clear you've got a good understanding on mechanics
