A paraplegic friend told me that she was told when she started rehab.....The sooner you accept your wheelchair as a permanent part of yourself, the easier it will be to move back into your life.
Ich war noch nie in der Lage, nur die Hinterräder meines Stuhls zu benutzen. Ich versuchte es ein paar Mal, gab aber auf, nachdem ich umgefallen war und mit dem Kopf auf dem Boden aufschlug.
I have seen a few of these now. I am new to being in a wheelchair. I am amazed at what people can do on that course. Right now I don't think I could do much. Much respect

Wow! I have only been in a wheelchair for 3 years, but really only 9 months with my specialty chair. With my Quickie Qri I can pop a wheelie up a door frame if 3-4 inches, which for a 67 year old woman , that’s not too bad!
