There's a weekly bus from Manchester to Bresov, Romania. I bought my ticket with a Romanian friend and it took two days! The moment we left it was a noisy bus, people on the phone almost all night. We arrived to take the ferry to Calais, which was a big relief as the toilet was out of use, I felt the deliberately blocked it. The ferry as the only time throughout the entire journey where I caught sleep. Criss crossed Europe with a service stop every 4 and a half hours. When we did get to Romania I was so zombied out I just wanted to pass out on the pavement. Safe to say, I slept beautifully and swore off long bus journey's...
Very good review. It's great that there's more competition for Nat Ex and Megabus. Hopefully trying Megabus and Flix this week in a head to head to see which one is better (if any)
Hi! I am planning to visit Oxford. Do I need to pre book my journey or we can use contactless card? What is the cost for per person from London to Oxford
The Oxford Tube is a gem, it’s a local bus, coach, semi fast outer-suburban railway and tube metro all in one! Especially if you live in East Oxford, as you say the main Oxford train station is miles away and if you work or play in London the Oxford Tube will get you right to the centre.
The phrase "holy shit, dude!" comes to mind! Pretty cool video man, it amazes me how cheap these long term coach journeys are and how far you can go in Europe these days!
My longest one was Budapest - London, around 24 hours and did London - Glasgow (around 12) also London - Penzance (Cornwall). No probs w the long journey the problem is always with some passengers 😌💀😬😀
I'm glad I found your excellent post as I have to seek and alternative to the train from my London to Banbury journey on December 17th due to even more industrial action😗
Their nightbus to Manchester takes a ridiculous long route to Manchester. Megabus and National Express are more direct. I picked Megabus due to a large amount of extra legroom for only £2 extra.
It can vary really, sometime the Airline is the cheapest option. For Heathrow one option is catching the train to Slough and then local bus from there. And for Gatwick it is catching the train all the way there with a change in Reading.
I’m travelling with Flixbus, for the first time, in a few days. Was searching for any videos evaluating what this bus was like, and came across yours. I’m a bit disappointed, sorry to say. I’d have found it more helpful if you’d have filmed in greater detail, instead of just showing snippets, of what the inside of the bus actually looks like, ie, how clean (or not clean) the interior is, the seats, the legroom (in conjunction with your size), what the toilets/wash facilities are like, etc. I’m kind of none the wiser!
Hi xdra31, thanks for watching the video and your comment! The problem is that this is only 2 types of coaches on the flixbus network. Unlike national express where all the coaches/seats are standardised, with flixbus. The operator of that route can choose what type of vehicle they want to operate on it, resulting in different seats & facilities on each route. So I could have done a normal trip review, however the reality is that you would have a totally different route/operator on your trip. However, I have travelled with flixbus many times throughout Europe and what I can assure you is that you will have a great journey with a clean, comfortable and relatively new coach. I hope you enjoy your trip!
@@lompstem Ah ok, thank you for explaining this. I found some other videos with some not so good reviews, particularly when another operator was substituted for the green bus. I hope my forthcoming trip proves differently.
In my role with Bristol City Council I actually put together the flag for the Flixbus stop in Bristol City Centre (as seen at 15:08) back when the network originally launched last summer.
