You know what I miss the most in 90s-early 2000s anime? "Ugly" people, taken to mean characters who weren't prim, pretty and conventionally attractive. Think Marlon the gunsmith, or Annie and VT from Bebop. Rugged, homely, yet still visually appealing and sympathetic. Even the attractive ones like Vash and Meryl made ugly faces from time to time. I really miss that aspect.
I remember thinking this was such a banger that I forced my brother to sit down and listen to it which of course he approved of. I definitely plan to make him watch ALL of trigun, even the movie Badlands Rumble (I think that's the name, don't quite remember) and the new adaptation Trigun Stampede. Although I have to still finish reading the manga, I just started. 🎉
Here after the "Trigun Stampede" announcement. Of the anime’s me and my brothers grew up with on Adult Swim, this is one that slips my mind the most. I never given Trigun a fair watch, but I just remembered how much my brothers liked this show, even naming our dogs “Vash” and “knives”.
btw yang bisa bantu dong, gua lagi cari lagu anime lawas yang liriknya " Darling, Kowe, Agate..." animenya tentang perempuan yang bisa berubah jadi apa gitu, pokok berhubungan dengan cahaya... ada satu laki laki juga yang bisa berubah jadi cahaya. trus ada 2 laki laki kakak beradik, si kakak bisa berubah jadi kegelapan (main villain) dan si adik bisa berubah jadi kegelapan versi cewe (gender bender sumpah) tapi dia gak mau lakuin kejahatan.
ya know the difference that i adored inbetween the two versions of the intro is changing from vashe's RIDICULOUS bounty to a straight up evacuation order AAAAAAAAAAAAAA it just enhanced the opening to me into another level

Dude. I'm 15 now. I remember my uncle had me and my two cousins to sit down and watch a 90s anime. We obliged. Didn't sleep barley at all that weekend. Finished it all. Or maybe in two weeks. Memories are hazy. It was like 4 or 5 years ago. But man. This anime changed the way I look at life almost. Established a different kind of bond with me, my cousins, and my uncle.
