I always love seeing a mix of what homemakers are wearing and what they’re doing. Maybe a video about what you’re wearing during the week and what you’re doing/did in those outfits? Or anything homemaker related, vlogs, just real life 😊
I'm starting a master's and running my own household for the first time in my life! Do you have any videos of suggestions for starting homemaking? Or things you wish you knew before you started?
I love seeing this content! It is SO HARD to find nursing friendly and pregnancy friendly dresses 🤪. This year I've made the switch to mostly dresses and skirts, plus I have a rather lofty goal of making sure they can all fit me for nursing and pregnancy as well as when I have a normal body. I have discovered that I can often wear dresses backwards if they have buttons up the back and a nice waist tie. Sometimes it takes a little tweaking but at least it works! I'd love to see more of this type of content!
Just one point about the shower curtains. PVC is used extremely commonly in plumbing. I don't see how changing out a shower curtain is going to help much when most people likely have the same plastic in their plumbing. I highly recommend changing a shower curtain into one that can be washed and doesn't need replaced as often. But I'm not sure it'll make much of a difference in your health due to off gassing.
Oh that's a really good idea! I never thought of a wardrobe tour, I'll have to add that to the list. I have a decluttering one in mind, it's just finding time to set aside first that's the issue 😅
I was just recommended your videos on my home page, and you seem like a lovely person. I'm not sure if I've ever left a youtube comment before in the fifteen years I've had this account, but I wonder, are you worried about lead poisoning for your children? I understand you have two babies, and your home is a 1940s home. Some of the images in this video show old chipping paint. If you're renovating, that lead dust will go everywhere in your home, on your clothes, and then it'll get stored in your children's bones especially because they're growing (it's not something the body easily gets rid of). I hope you consider this.
Thanks 🙂 I am well aware, actually more so than the average person. And because of that, we go above and beyond legal safety standards to ensure lead is not in our children's environment or body. Thanks for your concern and your comment
Good idea to size up. I'm a mom to 8 and I learned that trick along the way. Have you heard of the pricey brand clothing called " grow with me" same Idea of larger clothes that fold over at the belly to give growing space. Long sleeve onesies , I think are a good idea for the summer to protect arms from the sun. Your babies are close in age, you are doing great.
I was so much easier to get the 1000 hours outside with my kids when they were babies and toddlers then it is now that they are preteens. When they were babies/toddlers, we lived outside on the porch. We played, read books, took naps in the shade,, had picnics. We ate dinner outside more often then v/s now. Im working on making things that way again.
Oh interesting 🤔 maybe it'll get more difficult then for me too. I know it depends on different families and different situations (at least according to the women in my church) so I guess I'll have to see 😅
Haha no, but VidIQ might be 😅 that's where I got the idea for this one because I had thirty minutes to film while kids were asleep and I was like, "quick what can I do a video about that requires no research." And this was it 🫠
@@Myriapod774 You definitely should look into it! I almost get everything off there now. I like to join specific Buy Sell Trade Groups to avoid scammers but you can find some really good deals sometimes. Plus you get a really good community of individuals who like to buy second hand, so it's a win win all around.
Good job! I think you would really resonate with the book Oh Crap! Potty Training by Jamie Glowacki It’s similar to what you did but there is no taking them every 15 minutes. It involves going no bottoms (naked) for a few days and keeping the potty close by so the kid can figure out what is going on with their body and recognize the signs they need to go. Once they figure that out you can put pants back on. It also recommends early training like you have done (not waiting til 3 or 4 as is trendy these days).
Aww thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊 I'm definitely fortunate to have a partner who is on the same page with me about cleaning. Hopefully something works out for you though 🙂
This is like my worst nightmare birth story 😂 Not funny but interesting how we all have different wants and perspectives on what a positive birth is. I hope for next time a home birth might be an option for you. I’m glad you were all ok.
It was mine too for a while 😅 when we were making birth preparations I literally told my husband, "Now I do NOT want a car baby! We need to have our act together." And at the time I was partly joking. No joke though, we were out the door in fifteen minutes and still didn't make it 😭 definitely looking into a home birth next time!
My name is saul goodman, did you know that you have rights? The Constitution says you do, and so do I. I believe that every man, women, and child, are innocent until proven guilty. That's why I fight for you Albuquerque!
Hi, somehow you came up on my RU-vid right from your first video and it’s been fun to watch. You’re doing a good job. Congrats on finishing school. I also cloth diaper and on my third baby right now. I have always used a disposable diaper overnight though, it’s only one diaper and then no leaks or laundry from wet sheets! Regarding your experience with nursing on demand…I have had a lot of success with doing the feeding on demand in the newborn days and then switching to more of a schedule after the first 6 weeks. By success I mean amazing sleepers. But I think the key to the scheduled feeds is that you do it in a place of minimal distractions so they get full feedings in. More like full meals than snacks all day, which translates to full tummies for overnight. It’s really hard with a toddler around!
Oh good idea! Thanks for the suggestion (also glad you've been enjoying the content 🥰). I've been trying to get into more of a routine anyway so that'll probably help!
Your goals do not sound unreasonable nor unrealistic. You have taken the first steps towards those, most don’t. Congratulations! In times you are discouraged remember that success is built on many failures and how you respond will determine how far you go. Our culture loves to showcase success but never talk about what it took to get there. Godspeed friend!
Thank you so much! I appreciate your encouragement and the time you took to write this. May God bless you with success in the things you put your hand to as well ❤️
To have clutter is a bad sign. It tells me that the person has a big chaos inside. And it will always gets worse and worse = stressful. The more things you own, the more the things will own you.
I agree, although sometimes it's just a phase of life. But I find living in a clutter free environment really frees up mental space and helps cut down on stress. Since I am naturally inclined to be more cluttered I thought these tips might help some people who are like-minded 😊
@@TheHilaHomeAbsolutely. But do yourself a favour and keep things to a minimum, especially if you are inclined to collect stuff. That's a comple dead end and a disaster. Better to sell excess stuff, and stop completely buying new crap. You know what I mean.
Clutter is in the eye of the beholder 😍 my sister’s home has so so few items including furniture that it feels empty and uncomfortable to me (literally-there’s no place to relax!). She also has to do laundry daily because there’s so few clothes and towels etc… dishes have to be washed constantly because there’s only 3 of each. It works for her and I love that. She’s exchanging physical clutter for cluttered days-time spent washing that I have decluttered from my life (which added precious time to my days). When I have a home with space, I love decorating with unique and beautiful items. Everything that comes in needs to be functional or beautiful-and I do not ever buy mass produced decor, dishes, silverware etc. almost every plate I have is handmade and beautiful. My mind is not chaotic-but artistic. I like to move slowly and appreciate the little details, which I think someone can do with a minimal home or a more maximal but thoughtfully curated home
I definitely am blessed, and I thank the Lord every day for our home 🙂 this is just part of a longer form video where I am sharing some of my personal experiences with living in a Reno home and some tips to make it still feel like a home. Totally first world kind of problems, but for some people it's the real thing so I wanted to share my experience to hopefully help others ❤️ but yes, we are beyond blessed, especially in comparison to many others out there in the world.
Awesome tip! Ive been trying to set up a shelving unit in my apartment. Its a really good gorgeous shelf, and storage is at a premium, yet the shelf is still half empty.
Thank you 😊 You totally can do it! I'm by no means good at this or an expert, but I hope it helps you out some when you go to set up your shelving unit.
I'm so happy to hear that, that is my goal 🥰 I am also super happy you enjoy my content ❤️ this week has been tough to get things posted so that's super encouraging! Have a blessed evening.
