Fantastic!! What a neat thing you've done. My only issue with the story is that of the wife. She had actually NOTHING to do with the King/Prince's decision and was indeed contrary in the beginning. It is NOT a shame that men were the instruments used by God. To purposely insert a female, smacks of worldly feminism. GOD speed!
Thanks for this re-enactment of the creation of the Heidelberg Catechism. I am trying to learn about the Reform faith and I got to see a cartoon about the creation of the Belgic Confession. All I got left are the Canons of Dort. :)
The covenant of circumcision was not given as a sign of salvation. Thus it is not applicable to baptism which is a sign that a person has made a decision to except Jesus Christ as Lord ans Savior. There is also no scriptural basis for babysitting babies. It is clear this doctrine was a hold over from the Roman Catholic Church.
klohitman it was given as a sign of being in the covenant. If you’re a dispensationalist then quite obviously you will believe in a discontinuity between the two. If you believe that baptism is salvific, then you are catholic and still baptize babies.
Overall the Catechism appears to be good but, Q74: Are infants also to be baptized? Yes: for since they, as well as the adult, are included in the covenant and church of God; Not Sure about that one....
