@@geraldchilders2625 Yes , both cars have a Hobbywing 3660 4000kv motor. The Typhon has a Max 10 esc combo 120a. And the Losi is using the Firma Esc with the Hobbywing motor. I tried the Typhon with a Surpass hobby 4200kv it was Like a Bat out of hell, but it will need serious work on Cooling so i removed it . The hobbywing still get hot but a decent fan keeps it acceptable.
@@geraldchilders2625 You may think Losi should be faster than the typhon with 40tooth spur but it depends on Final gear ratio. The Losi may be a Touch heavier but its a lovely car. Imo.
@@stuartj9842 oh yeah i think at the time i bought a pair of these for £30. They’ve been sitting around in my battery bunker for a while if this doesn’t help to get them going i will retire this pack .
Own both, to be fair, and thinking the long game. The DB Pro has so much more potential. The metal chassis, more open platform, and easier to work on imo. The plastic CVDs on the typhon, are a money pit, and not very durable imo. I put the 4S Motor / ESC in my DB (JennysRC), and run on 4S 100C with throttle at 75%. No heat issues, but did add a solid fan and heatsink, upgraded Diff Fluids, and went with Savox 1210E Servo, with New aluminum bellcrank. in about $1k, yes, but omg its simply epic, and EASY to work on.
Wow 😃, that sounds like a Nutter in know them 2wd are very fast stock. I wish luck for 6s , these SCT bodies have a tendency to parachute at higher speeds.
Hi, Personally Speaking i would go with the Hobao if you can stretch to afford it. Its a good car i have two Vse and one SSe, i would buy the 6s capable Vse. The Corally is limited, its 4s (Max) Esc and pinions are fixed positions, 13,15,17tooth. also from past experience of earlier corally models their differentials seem weak. The Hobao is a-lot more Tunable, and many upgrades available. My only gripe with the Hobao is the Battery Tray is a bit Tight. You Need a Battery 136mm x50x50 at most if you want the Shell to Sit on nicely. I hope that helps .🤗

Yeah that was a bit of an Oof , im a Clumsy FxCker 🤡, I don’t know why but some cyclists , cycle like they,re giant container ships on a constant bearing, whom cant change course or speed. Cant be difficult to announce your presence , a bell ding ding? Shout oi . ? like Something anything ffs. And oh & 🔫🌹 i cut the track, & moved the rest along i still had more footage but i cut it after the crash to not make a long video. But forgot the sound track was there. 🙂

Nice runs! "this one's full of crap, that one's not" 😆 what a metaphor😁 I'm not sure if you intended on having the blank part at the end with the music, but if you want to clip that out.. you click on the line that plays the music at the end point of your video. A little symbol above the line should pop up that looks something like >I< with a vertical dash. Click on that and it should split your audio and you can just delete the unwanted part after your video ends. I had to figure that one out on my own😄 hope that helps!👍

Yes i noticed after , the camera was looking at the sky. And i trimmed a bit GnR and Moved the left over down out of the way and forgot it was there . And at the start it was Satellite blues but you tube woukdnt let it upload i trusted there editing to remove the somg . I just cant film or edit for 💩.
@@RallyandTrail Argh well, Neither of them steer straight any more , Visual inspection of Hobao just the wing broke, but tracking is way off it cant go staright either too much left or too much right . Something going on with the Corally I thought just pinion just came loose . But i put the pinion back on with a little bit of chew on both of the gears,. Tightened the Feck out of it with a dob of threadlock. It sounded a little scretchy when i ran it again but its now stripped the spur gear . So yh both cars feeling that hit. 😢

they look similar speeds, love the view from behind front wheel, loved watching the suspension work,very cool 😎 racing both at the end was good, i would get very confused trying to steer both 😀👍👍👍👍
Yes i think once the Battery in the Hobao woke up they’re pretty close i guess i think the corally takes off a Bit faster. As for racing two together yes it was confusing especially when had the cars and Controllers on opposite sides , so Hobao controller in my Left hand but the car on the right . For eg. 🤦♂️

Yes just with Scalextric we did’nt need to steer. Had a bit of a brain fog moment trying steer to cars . Hand to eye coordination leaves a bit to desired . None my friends want to be bothered with rc cars . Plus im aways out early in the morning. The instant oomoh seems quite potent in the corally where as the hobao is more linear . I need a new better gps this one keeps letting me down .
Nice parking lot rip! So, with 4S you motor is turning 2x faster than it's rated kv RPM, essentially making it 4000kv! It's crazy to think we're out here playing with hundreds of amps and it's relatively safe Have a good rest of your day M8!
Errr🤓 ok .. i only know about KV vs the voltage to give rpms. I dont have esc’s where i can download all of the data . I would’nt really know what to do with it in any case . I am amazed at people getting 100+ out of their 1/8 buggies i only got mine to 87mph but i ran out if room . I dont think id better it by much i have no idea ? I am cautious of this corally going 6s long term , my corally python blew its centre diff, as did my mates radix 6, my shogun blew its centre diff and when i upgraded that it kept blowing the rear diff. So yh cautious of the corally being pushed hard My hobao vse ran 87 moh with no issues .
@@mark-1rc502 yeah that seems to be the risk of running high voltage systems. I don't have anything over 3S yet. So far, it's enough power for my 1/10 scale cars 👍
@@mark-1rc502 Thank you, and I wasn't trying to prop myself up but you understand what it takes to get there and I appreciate that.. I was thinking with the AK917 to combine the 3S packs to 6S, get a good Castle ESC and motor combo, then gear it nice and low. Should pull some serious numbers!
