Mainly Zwift Racing videos with a few IRL rides thrown in. If you want to see someone get dropped virtually whenever the gradient tick up, this is the channel for you.
Generally I don't, since there is double points at the finish, but I had a feeling I was going to get dropped before the finish, so needed to take what I could get.
Thanks for joining 🙌🙌. I think the race dynamics are really great. Good to see more folks joining the races, but I wish for more. It would be awesome to have a well attended team series on iV.
I don’t understand that prediction, you seem to get put down pretty low (relatively); but always over perform the prediction. You’d think the prediction at some point would rank you higher.
Yeah, I think when comparing the rankings of humans against other humans the rank order is good. When comparing the ranking of bots against other bots the rank order is good. But bots vs humans, the rank order is off. That is partially because the bots race more and mainly against other bots, so they ranking is well developed, but also us humans have better race craft than the bots, so easier for us to beat a group of higher rated bots.
Thanks! indieVelo is an awesome platform and more and more folks are joining. This race is held weekly. 4 times on Tuesday. 9:30, 17:45, 19:00, and 0:00 GMT. The most popular times are the first and second time slots. Hope you can join 💪
Currently I am using JOIN doing the ftp builder. Did Xert from January to April and saw big ftp increase by March, but the plan was very intense and resulted in overtraining.
Have you ever considered doing race breakdowns of your IV races? I’m always on the lookout for indoor cycling race breakdowns for when I’m on my training rides (ideally IV instead of Zwift)
@@dirtracingkris it was a solid race you put on there, especially when you “didn’t have it” - yeah right! You certainly have it, well done! I look forward to trying not to come in last in a future points series 💪🏻
@@neila6162 I am thinking with a flat course next week it will be a larger group and more tactical sprints. I think you have gotten the better of me on a few sprints in the past. Should be a fun one 😄
You made me realize I could improve my time by attacking the up bits more aggressively than I did ... then feeling free to recover more on the descents ... I'll give it another go :) Thanks for the motivation.
I went a lot harder than I initially anticipated on the ups. The legs just said go! The bots seemed more steady and while they were a little faster than me on the down, I think they lost a lot on the ups. I will probably give this another try as well. The 3 to 6 minute efforts are my sweet spot 😅. Maybe I can cut 3 seconds or so.
Oops, sorry. My wife was calling me and said she could not pick up the kids from the bus stop so I needed to. I needed to leave immediately to make it on time 😕
that pacer bot 😂 I badly mistimed my moving forward when I thought he was pulling off. Wishing us both cooler weather soon ... I'm in your time zone ... Georgia actually
That really should've said "Cooldown Lap" rather than "Lap 6" at the end, looked like you nearly had a heart attack thinking another lap was required 😂 First race I've seen on IV, I like that it has the "Groups" breakdown and a "Draft" indicator both of which I am used to via Sauce on Zwift, but I'm not keen on the complete lack of a course profile so you know upcoming up/down/flat sections, and I'd like to see W/Kg as well as Speed against riders (although I like the thing they've done with the bike's 'brakelight' changing colour based on rider power output)
Yeah, I was certainly caught off guard and thought there was another lap 😳. Glad there was not 🥵. I do like the info shown, but do miss the w/kg. It actually does show the course profile on the bottom right of the screen. For the entire course even, so it was quite handy. I did not notice it until lap 2 or 3, and it was a life saver once i did.
nice ride...keep safe and healthy..greeting cyclist from Malaysia..get in my footage..enjoy the various cycling route in Johor, Malaysia, I have recorded for entertainment..and share the awesome hobby to the entire world..
Very cool! Thanks for posting this. A buddy and I are planning to come from Pittsburgh to do it in 2022. This is a great look. We've both got FTPs of around 225. I'm thinking we should get 50/34 chain rings up front. Seems like a solid insurance policy to help ensure a great day.
This is in Frederick County near Thurmont around South Mountain State Park and Catoctin Mountain Park. This was the northern section of the 2021 Maryland Gran Fondo, Medio route.
