One other possible theory could be that it started out as ritualistic, but as we humans have take that ritual aspect and turned costumes into things we use for entertainment, the fish in bikini bottom made those suits either the normal, trying to mimic humans after their rituals to the duchman, or that they took it to an extreme, thinking they need to act as humans constantly to stay safe from the duchman or similar humanlike entity’s (like the fishhooks in that one episode I forget). It could explain why they no longer swim, as they feel the need to mimic humans and their habits, explains how jellyfish and clams still fly despite that being, well, it possible if not underwater, and could possibly even explain mermaid man and barnacle boy with how they took it yet another step further than the others. Overall great video that I certainly feel slightly weird thinking about but brings up interesting points.
That's not true. Wild salmon, like flamingos, gain their iconic pink hues from their diet mainly consisting of shrimp and/or krill. *Farmed* salmon, however, are the ones that are artificially dyed pink because the diet they're given in the fish farms makes their flesh a grayish color. The pink does not come the blood at all, and I would like to know where you heard that from because even a quick google search shows the exact opposite of what you're claiming.
Hate to throw a wrench into a great video - but Dee Bradley Baker voicing that horse couldn't have been a nod to his role of Klaus. American Dad! didn't premiere until years later.
55:31 AKSCHULLY... THERE IS SUCH A THING AS UNDERWATER LAKES. ITS CALLED A BRINE POOL AND IT CONSISTS OF VERY CONCENTRATED BRINES COMING FROM THE LUANN SALT LAYER. THE BRINE CONTAINS A HIGH AMOUNT OF METHANE GAS THAT SUPPORTS A SURROUNDING DENSE MUSSEL BED...
I will never get over how this man created an absolute BANGER of a theory video the likes of which rivals matpat in both research and sheer absurdity and then dipped off the face of the internet, never to be seen again for years. Sir HELLO?????
Would the episode where Patrick literally goes nose shopping also be considered some good supporting evidence of this theory? Not sure if this adds much value to the theory but thought it was worth mentioning
im still gonna watch it cause like.. yaknow.. its something to watch but i never liked theories like this, its like.. if you apply some logic to it it just.. doesnt make any sense. fun to think about but past that these theories are lame as hell (except the madagascar mort theory that shits whack)
correct me if I wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s there is a red salmon or it turns red during its breeding thingy where it goes back home where it was born
You're completely right! The salmon you're talking about is the sockeye salmon, and they turn mostly reddish when returning to breed, with the only exception being its head, which turns green. I think the point still stands, however.
