Elyse Graham was born and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Brown University in 2003 earning a B.A. in Art: Semiotics.
Founded in 2014 and based in Los Angeles, the Elyse Graham Studio is a place where unusual materials and experimental processes are implemented to create a melding of art and object. We design by making with a sense of curiosity, wonder and joy.
We design and produce every piece by hand in our Los Angeles studio. The work is driven by the processes Graham develops for the very specific materials she uses; most notably plaster and resin.

Can unplz tell me why mine didn't work? Once i filled it with plaster of Paris, i let it set for long time. Once i go & touch the balloon it started cracking on the inside. Smh i did wat these VIDEOS did but theirs hardened mine wasn't hard enough i guess. Wat did i do wrong? 6times too many fails.
I’m almost afraid to ask but ……. please … please … what kind of plaster did you use for the balloon 🎈 was it plaster of Paris ? Gypsum ?? I hope you reply anyone ????? I’ve been needing this answer for 5 MONTHS !!! Please 🙏 reply ???? 7-11-23
Sad. All art as been aroundfor ens. And know everyone claims they have done it for years. She Never sad it was Her invention. SHE is sharing. Some people even make babies they are ALL individuals. If YOU invented this go on RU-vid and show every one how! Don't put her down. Enough
Hi Elyse, I run workshops for young carers (children) in the UK would you be able or willing to share what balloons you use? I have tried several types in the past but never found any that appear like the ones you are using. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance for your help. Russell
Hi Russell--I use qualatex balloons. The ones in this video are 36" diameter, but are underinflated so the latex is thicker. Good luck and hope this helps :)
@@ElyseGraham Thanks Elyse, we have used Crystal R plaster for other projects. We are hoping to turn these into large candles with some holes to see the coloured wax through. I will keep you posted. The balloons to date have been an issue but I’ll check them out. Your work is amazing by the way. Especially love your use of resin.
