To avoid risk of allergies, you want to avoid the gel touching your skin. Put the builder gel in the dual form and then cure. Then place a thin layer of builder gel on your nail (after any base coat, either gel or normal nail polish base coat), then put the dual form with the hard builder gel on your nail, making sure not to push down hard enough for gel to squish out towards the tip of your nail. This is also to promote a thicker "apex" which makes the nail stronger and is the "correct" way the professionals get trained for. You can see the peach and pink nails you did being so thin over the tip of the fingers that it was completely see-through which is indicative that it is far too thin there.
Interesting! I’ve not yet plucked up the courage to try dual forms but I will be soon after I gain much info as possible! Okay, so apply the gel onto forms and cure for how long? Isit as flash cure or full cure!! Then apply some builder on nail and apply the cured dual form into nail and cure…for how long ? ❤ thank you for this tip 🙏
You will have much less bubbles if you gently paint on the builder gel e.g. 6:30 where you just mix it around instead of trying to move the gel around as little as possible. A nice even flat stroke will work best to get total adherence to the surface.
Im kinda disappointed cause I bought one shade(Mauve mist) before looking at this vid and the photos on the website look NOTHING like the actual thing.
So . . . do you have a new baby? I have been in your shoes. 2 miscarriages and 2 fetal demises. I had stopped trying, thinking I was sentencing a baby to death. The Lord had other plans - I now have the most wonderful son 🩷. God bless you all!
Great video Jessy🌟 You explained each step very clearly with just gentle background music. You’re very relaxing to listen to 😂 Ok, please don’t laugh at me for asking this question but I have to ask 🙏🏻 A while back I bought poly gel and the dual forms. Will builder gel work with the same forms OR are the triple D dual forms a different material? 🤷🏻♀️ The triple D builder gel is thicker than the IBD builder gel I have which gives more control. I like the look of the triple D product and I need a mini light, oh and those clips. It’s a pain trying to hold them in place 🤭 Thank you so much, I have subscribed ❤👏🏻💅🏻🇬🇧
New subbie and like 👍 i have a small nail channel i mostly do nail stamping and polish reviews but looki😂to venture out with more stuff but would love to see you stop by and sub if like, but great vids tyfs and have a great and safe rest of your day 💕
You have beautiful long natural nail beds. Therefore, I would move these tips down your nail and fill in the cuticle area with gel. This way they will fit you perfectly. Great job 🇦🇺❤️
There is NO factory in the world pouring gel into molds and curing them under UV lights. The term gel tips is simply a marketing tool referring to soft gel or hard gel that goes on top. First bought to us by Apres. Every tip is made from varying forms of plastic. Sorry, but it’s true. 🇦🇺❤️ Think about it! Do you think you’re getting real gel tips for $4.64?
This is one of the best videos. However, I failed miserably with the builder gel. But found that is much easier and faster and you don't need the lamp when using acrylic instead.
I just learned how to remove my gel using a ceramic bits and no soaking. Total game changer for me! I totally understand why you don’t like soaking, I didn’t like it either because it’s so long and it makes me waste so much acetone!
If you also put a paperform on before the dual form, it will make the underneath of your nail come out perfect. No gel under your nail on your skin, and no extra filing. I find if I cut the paper form down just enough so that the dual form is longer than the paperform it helps to keep better hold and control.
You just confirmed ny need to purchase a pack of forms for this reason. I just did a set of gelx nails and I hate the glue globs under. I bought poly and liquid builder bc I wanna try them all and well temu makes it affordable.
@shadesofshea88 because it's not a fake nail, it is a dual form and is supposed to be removed. The builder gel applied to the underneath of the form is what creates the nail extensions.
You are way too hard on yourself. The reason nail techs charge so much is because it takes work to get good nails because it’s art and I think you did an absolutely beautiful job and your real most of the girls that make Content cut and edit all their mistakes out and it takes hours for them to do nails!!!! Thank you for sharing ❤
That is a beautiful dip powder!! I love the little flowers, so delicate! It would be perfect paired with a solid for spring 💕💕 congratulations on the new baby 👣👣♥️♥️
Thank you for this video. I just started doing my nails & I don't like using acetone. I like Gel Tips & Builder Gel. This is exactly what I've been looking for.
