When you tried to reload premed and azalea something I think the play was to full hand block + helmet the Triumph. They had 0 soul so they can't flip anything unless they have a second herald and if they do you still survive and especially if you find a popper you probably get one more try. I think it's the better play. There's also 2 other risks to consider here: If you go to 2 life without bracers, you die if they flip the ravage angel and attack for 2 arcane. Also it was a while after the last seen ALS so even if you found something there was a decent chance you get ALS'd and lose on the spot.
1:06:03 The biggest problem with blitz is how high the value of the gear is (single use\block). My favorite hero in blitz is OG prism and I really feel the lack of armor, and when I do a power turn some heroes can just gear block everything the counter with a 5 card power turn. Just feels more unfair than cc if the other player doesn't have the best gear and I do. Ps I love blitz meme decks armory, (dadadol is a regular member of our local armory)
I had originally had Wallop in the deck to help with the cost curve of 4 resource 8 power attacks but I could definitely be talked into playing Boulder Drop. It's a solid card!
@@AggroBlaze96 cause i came to almost the exact list as you did with victor in this current meta, only big change is I traded blue buckling blow for blue boulder drop :D thanks for doing nice (guardian) content
@@AggroBlaze96 6 or 5 only changes a tie to a possible loss if they reveal a cnc or so, for the whole time i played guardian for now i played buckling blow maybe 3 times lol, with wallop i see the potential to highroll of a TOS to maybe safe the tunic counter or just play a 4 cost/cnc pummel which could be a huge swing
Had to take a step back from FAB not nearly as balanced as people make it out to be look at Kayos LL points and how long he's been out and Zen had 420 after just 3 short weeks. Also with the new UPP stores around me have talked about no longer carrying fab. It was fun while it lasted.
Been playing this matchup myself on the Victor side. Getting go again hand into go again hand is how you win for sure, along with cash homes. Not seeing go agains consistently makes this a lot tougher
What’s the thought process on hanabi into Kayo? I figured it’s only decent into slower matchups like Enigma. Edit: never mind it was brought up a few minutes later 😅
I have an earnest question regarding a disagreement that I had with a friend regarding Twin Drive. I used 2 Red Quick Fires which states "THE NEXT ATTACK YOU BOOST GETS +4 (damage)" So in this case, since I used 2, my next boosted attack would get +8. Since Twin Drive is ONE ATTACK with boost and boost, wouldn't it get +16 for a total of 21 damage? I am having a hard time finding specific rulings anywhere. I suspect my friend doesn't think it's legit simply because he's eating damage. But I figure that is one of the reasons that the card is as expensive as it is.
Good question! Red Quick Fire says "the next attack you boost gets +4 power". If you play Twin Drive after a red Quick Fire and choose to boost both times, you will only get the +4 power 1 time and not twice. This is because the condition is "the next time you boost" and not "this gets +4 for each time you boost your next attack". I hope this makes sense.
On the Art of War turn and stonewall defense you blocked perfectly where it got 6 points of value and there was no point where the opponent could’ve broken the chain. They presented 12 damage more (would’ve been 16 if not for stonewall) by simply not breaking the chain. Using stonewall to block descendant was an amazingly patient play and got you the most value at a point where they couldn’t break the chain going forward. Great stuff!!!
Yeah I think gauntlet is insane once they commit to a bonds turn. Personally, I think it's best to wait for the bonds to come out instead of the gustwave incase they are faking it or have another gustwave. 1 Less value but once they commit with bonds they either lose a card or commit to staying on the chain. In this situation IDK if it's worth it on zen to get bonds after gauntlet was played. He could have gotten something like chase the tail and broken chain. Just my 2 cents.
I had a chance to go back and look at the turn and I see both points here. I do think that blocking on gustwave gives me max potential value and stonewall gauntlet saved me a ton the way I blocked. To Mellow’s point, I only miss out on one point by waiting one more chain link. That 1 point really mattered here but it’s a very good thought for future games 🙂
2:36:10 My 2 cents on baning bonds. They can't ban it with out taking half of the ninja class with it if they want to nerf it making it a majestic with only one color can balance the power level with out killing the class
Your friend should consider some 0 block/bladeworn gear in his gloves (for example nullrune gloves) that he currently has in his side board, to counter t bone. 4 x t bone and all his gear is lost, but with 0 block he can defend ♾️times
We tried running Tide Flippers in one game and Silas said it felt very awkward. Multiple people suggested this last night and I think we are going to test it more.
@@AggroBlaze96 I agree the legs and head slot are really important for the power turn. That's why I'm suggesting arms. They give 3-8 value but for zen that power turn can be an OTK, making any value calculator not as easy
Good question! You can shoot Teklo Plasma Pistol as many times as you have resources to use and if you are able to give it go again. A lot of weapons say “once per turn action” but Teklo Plasma Pistol says “action”. Which means you can do that as many times as you want in a turn. You just have to have go again to use it.
First game, first turn (8:00), alternative line allowing you transcend and decent damage: Play SWOMB (pitch bonds) -> Preserve (target SWOMB), gain resource -> Zen for Chase the Tail -> tiger, chase, aspect, tiger line for 11 dmg + have the chi in your deck. No arsenal though, but I really like having the chi so traverse is active.
I like that quite a bit. It concerns me to not set up an arsenal that early but it is very reasonable to think that Chi in deck for Traverse is a bigger priority
