I make reaction and response videos, starting with #Tom MacDonald #Samson and then branching out into country and other various topics.
My reactions are:
-blind; otherwise the video will be titled: "review" rather than reaction. -honest. I don't pretend or fake who I am for views- I don't believe in being that way. -aimed at finding common ground and seeking improvement, however those concepts may manifest themselves.

That said, no one is forcing anyone to watch these videos and those people are free to go elsewhere; however, if one comments negatively on my videos while only watching a small portion of the video, thus taking things out of context, that is a bit of a douche move. Just saying.
I am an old guy at 78 and life is a one way journeys . I was drafted in '69 Vietnams war by good old LBJ. He congratulated me on my choice to serve my country and signed the document that made it so. Good old LBJ. Now you must understand that your country may require you to return with your shield or on it ; however, the Military is much more realistic and only stipulates the new recruit to only serve his country. Fine distinction but legally interesting . My older brother was a marine in Korean war , I was a NG Paratrooper and SF of the 38th Alaskan Guard , all my children were Army and served in the sand box and my youngest my daughter is still flying BlackHawks for the Army WW3. I know the military , the good, the bad and the ugly. Have no illusions and it will be the event of you life.
None of us did it for the money, or glory. 22 Veterans a day die by their own hand. This country needs to take care of those who sacrificed everything, but got nothing upon return.
The media has become a propaganda machine for the Democrats and all they have done is create division, teaching kids to hate America. Americans have to see through the smoke and mirrors and hold these crooks in DC responsible for what they are doing to us and our country!
Doesn’t sound like you should react to Toms music , he puts to much passion into it , you seem like a passive person, nothing wrong with that at all , im not dissing you , I genuinely like most of your reactions, on this one it seems you weren’t really listening, just picking out parts that annoy you , its entertainment , you didn’t mention the production, or when he included his family, Tom has plenty of non aggressive songs , probably more to your liking,
Francesca, rap is a brutal sport and Tom hasn’t really played the game the way the industry, labels and other rappers want him to. He’s put up mainstream numbers as an independent artist and they’re all trying to discredit him. Tom is generally humble about his success and fame but this song, along with a couple others over the years is his big 🖕🏽 to the haters. He’s playing the game without committing
Additionally, Tom is very positive and uplifting as a testament to all the people who say Tom’s music helped them deal with mental illness and substance abuse. I think Toms way of dealing with his demons (haters) is to write diss songs instead of falling back into substance abuse or kissing a bullet. It’s like many artists say, it’s their outlet and sometimes it’s gonna sound like it
#HOG in the house. Though i appreciate your sentiments, i believe there are a couple of realities you have either missed or don't understand. Like it or not, this is partly a gut thing, in a hyper competitive, aggressive genre of music. I don't think you unaware, for i have seen many of your reactions. Maybe the piece you are missing is the outlandish bs Upchurch had been spewing the last year in shorts about Tom, ending with his dropping several diss tracks very disrespectful and misleading accusations. Many reactors who when everyone thought Upchurch, Tom and Adam Calhoun were getting along, approved of Tom and Adam. But when Church started going crazy, literally, ranting sometimes 3 -5 videos a day, and these reactors wanting to see a diss war, which Tom has stated since NO RESPONSE, he was done with that. Church was going at Tom to get to Adam. Totally immature. But acqusations alluded to by Church, than some in his fan base not only ran with those, but than added to them. Everything from Tom was an industry plant, to like you said, him not being genuine, out for the money only, He being born in Canada he has no right to comment on U.S. societal and political issues...why doesn't he go take care of Canada, that all his views are fake, and so on. And the Church fan base was storming reaction channels that had problems with Church's disses, flooding the comments and leaving derogatory statements. So this was Tom not only defending himself and his fans, but putting to bed some of the lies. This was needed and done perfectly. I get it may not be your cup of tea, and that's ok.
Thank you for explaining the context of the situation surrounding this video. I do not follow the drama and was unaware of how bad things had gotten or I'm sure my response would've been much different. I do think Tom is amazing and only question authenticity, as I would with anyone gaining this much influence. Heck, I expect people to question mine if I should ever get so popular. I do wonder if this type of response generates resolve or gives haters more power. Either way, thank you again for your civil and mature response to my reaction, rather than blowing a gasket the way some have. I wish I could address that discourse in a way that would be beneficial because at the end of the day, completely disregarding someone and attacking them because they have a slightly different viewpoint is divisive and it's not what I want at all.
@SicilianChick I appreciate your reply, and I had a hunch you were not aware of all the drama. I try to always interact in a conversational tone. I see the same thing you do, except I know I don't see as much nor it bring personable. Myself, I consider, rightly or wrongly, most of the true hate messages as bots. I will leave one comment to make my point. If they return being reasonable, I may give a second response, and I have had that happen. But otherwise I said what I needed to say. I try to remember this when reading what people write. I have a sister that I lived with for years, and she would write notes periodically to ask if I had done something like cook on the stove or I had the community bathroom as a chore. Whatever the need, I swear to God she could not write anything without it coming across accusatory or always had negative emotions . When I would ask her about it, she would say....I never meant it like that!. I know she did at times but I just learned to move on. It's not worth it to let another person bind you up in negative emotions. Just keep moving. In a sense that is how Tom deals with all the hate. Do a track where you don't name them but they know who I'm talking about. The NO RESPONSE, RESPONSE. His time is way more productive and valuable to spend time on crap. Your video was suppressed I've watch so many reactions to Tom's video you missed Yet today when I haven't watch any reactions to it over a week I get your video. I subscribed so I will not miss anything else you post.
I don’t think it’s defending so much as it is his artistry coming out if it wasn’t for hi haters to give him file we not have gotten some of his best work as soon as we did Tom is a masterful artist
No, I don't see the point in throwing fuel on the fire when people are talking smack. Apparently, it's a thing in rap. But rather than just saying "you don't get it", you could attempt to explain it... unless you just need to feel a sense of superiority because you "get it" and I don't. My point of view is something others "don't get" as well. Perspective is perspective. It's also a blind review and Tom drops a lot in one song. I'm not going to nail the core meaning every time, but I did address it.
Think this was Tom having to respond to alllll the hate n attacks he was getting…. And as aggressive as it seems it still managed to give that positive message of even though you maybe at rock bottom you CAN climb out of that grave!!!!! I’m not big on the screaming either but I totally understand you can only take sooo much hate before you need to addresss it….
Tom constantly has people saying how he has no business talking about politics and other issues in the United States because he's Canadian. His Instagram is filled with him sharing some political belief and a comment saying. "Bruh you're Canadian 😂." And similar comments
Tom does what Tom wants to do. He is tired of fans telling him what they want him to do. I thought it was quite clear by now. "Nitpicking" is for vultures #HOG
Tom is the first real modern political rapper. They did steal it. He’s being humble here showing his past. He believes what he’s saying. The only rapper I know that says what he truly believes, no record label.
You obviously have been paying attention and focused on what is really happening. You have conviction and confidence in what you think based on doing the work to understand reality. I am impressed.
We need to keep in mind, even as you struggle, with contrary ideology in your posts,..that Tom has placed himself as point man, and is taking all the hits for us,..this is his declaration, that they will not break him, and the American spirit and dream still lives..keep up your great reaction videos ,..your conservative views and passion for this wounded country are recognized, and appreciated,..btw,. THEY MISSED
Tried to make comment, but keyboard sticking so you for lots os hearts 😂 Followed Tomfor many years, this song has twwo meanings, telling off all his haters - he does this every so often. The other is to inspire others - as low as you get there is always hope.
