This was a suprising decision and i'm honestly not very happy with it. I definitly see Monicas good eye and style when it comes to design and I really liked a lot what she did but as we saw in the last challenge, she is not really a teammate and also don't listen to the brief and just want to go with hers, so no transformation at all. I get that you should do your thing no matter what maybe some people could think but these challenges are also about teamwork and what the customer want and I don't think she gets that right. They should give Tom the win for making the Wedding house look coherant by adjusting his design haha But honestly I think Jack would've deserve it very much more! Great mind, transformation and he seems like a sweetheart!
Your videos are a true inspiration to me. Im a single man due to recent life changes, about to start a new life on the cut. I'm both excited but scared out of my mind. Watching your videos has given me a sense of reality on the water. So thanyou so much. Not only for the info but helping me switch off just for a minute.
A few years back, I lived in Grantham and would regularly cycle down the disused Grantham Canal, and that had the old original marker stones along it.😊 Plus, not that far away, was the drift track, that stretched from Bottesford to the north east of Stamford. Some sections were absolutely swathed with wild flowers!!❤😊 The canal and the drift track are the things I miss!
Canal Boat Journeys is my favourite TV programme - just love the slow pace, beautiful scenery, great information and Robbie's monologue. Hope there's lots of Diaries in the pipeline 👍👍👏👏
It must be great to be your own man Robbie love watching you boating keep on cranking take care hope you are in stoke on Trent sometime it would be nice to meet you in person
I believe Tom deserved a space to continue in the competition, the only thing I would have liked him to change a bit was his mural, the colours was great but he should maybe have committed to something more abstract.
Why is this program featuring so many candidates that are so different from real life people? There are too many people that is trying to be something that they are not. Edit: Also it seems that the candidates are not sticking to the brief and what the clients asked for.
dear Jack, you're great, big ideas, consistency, talent etc., but pls drop the scarf and the shorts ;-) Monica, pls pursue further with your identity into your designs, but pls keep half of the drama to yourself, this little girl thing ;-) good luck to both of you!
Thank you for uploading Whenever I watch these programs I wonder what the property owners think. I know the designers have 2 days and limit funds, but what happens 6 months later? First the dried greenery stuffed into pots will go. Then after sweeping under and trying to dust the cobwebs off the dried flowers, those will go. Then the plywood sofas, tables and creaky swings.
Good lord. Blondie consistently has meltdowns because she has ZERO time management skills, and a complete inability to organize herself. HOW is she still on the show?
Jack debió ganar, siempre demostró tener talento y no abrumarse por los problemas que surgían, además de seguir los deseos del cliente y no enfocarse solo en su estilo e ignorar el objetivo… I’m team Jack
My husband and I really enjoy your journeys on your boat and I find them very restful to watch before going to bed to settle me down. In our youth we had a small Shetland and we enjoyed boating on Loch Lomond, The Norfolk Broads and on a few lakes in the Lake District, sometimes sleeping on board (a bit cramped), more often in our 'home from home' in our caravette which towed the boat to its different destinations sometimes adventures on our own and some with our kids. Later we got a larger boat - a Princess which seemed very posh but not as easy to take up smaller rivers for picnics where we watched dragonflies dancing and dosed in the sun. When my husband had his cancer treatment 10 years ago he spent his time while in quarentie during radiotherapy planning a sea voyage - a reminder of his days with the RNLI - from the north east coast (where we kept our boat) up the coast of Scotland and hopefully through the Caledonian canal. He was able to achieve his dream as far as Inverness though I didn't join him due to worsening arthritis but then covid locked everything down and by the time it was over he was also less able to manage the boat so regretfully we sold it. However as septogenarians we are enjoying travelling vicariously with you and look forward to seeing your next adventures. Best wishes for your next voyage.
Really didn't understand this decision. I like Monika's style but she's been one-dimensional, bad at keeping time, and doesn't listen to briefs that don't align with her own style (all things for which Michelle has sent people home in previous episodes). Ridiculous decision by Michelle. Really wanted Jack to win, he deserved it for sure and (though Monika is obviously talented) was a lot more refined/mature in his designs.
Monica will be one of those designers that will produce some amazing talked about spaces but will be a nightmare to work for, these sort give the rest of us a bad name among the trades and clients. Oh well!
Based on their showing for the season, Jack is a better designer. But the rules of the game is to be judged only on the last designed. Monika won fair and square and I'm happy for her.
Monika is so irritating to me. How is she getting past week by week. Michelle is constantly saying she wants them to hit the brief, and Monika literally picks and chooses what she wants to do! It's irritating beyond belief!! I thought her space was so not the vibe. Tamei really didn't deserve to leave.
Also she never won an episode. At least Temi and Tom had some wins and Jack won once. If you compare to series 3 it was clear Banjo was a winner because he had a track record of producing winning designs. Monika just seemed to flap around, fudge it and never won. I think that's why I feel less satisfied with series 4.
The brief: Eco...uses spray paint 😬😂 to create fake copper effect. So tacky! And Monika is a moron. Every single time she has to figure out if something works last minute.
I feel Monika should have been eliminated episodes ago as she is so obviously lost and emotional with zero project management skills... not sure why she gets through every time when her execution always falls short from the given brief...Feeling bad for Tamei who I felt deserved to be in the semi finals...
As an interior design student, Monika shares the common struggles of time management and finding her own style to dominate the space. The breakdowns she experiences in every episode resonate with the challenges most students face. Monika is someone I can relate to, while Jack is someone I aspire to be. Jack possesses a brilliant and creative mind, actively designing and creating with unexpected ideas. He considers the client's needs while leaving his distinctive touch in every space he designs. Jack is the designer I wanna be. In my judgment, I would undoubtedly choose Jack for the win.
"Leading interior designer"... 35:51 He really needs to find a better clothier - the way those shoulder/pads fit and crease his shoulders ... golly. This, of course, comes from my oldest of pet-peeves -> that of when a man sits, he never pulls the back of his jacket down, resulting in an absoLLLLLLUTEly criminal shoulder mischief. I tells ya, if I were a bigtime suit designer, and the anchorman wearing one of my 22,000$ jackets that way, I'eeeeeEEED SUE! [Edit] My deepest apologies to everyone who is now or has now adopted the scourge of that pet peeve. It will follow you the rest of your days.
