Thank you! Dad and his family were from Corby. Dad worked at Steelworks. Married Mum..She didn't like Corby much. She was from Kettering. I came along. We lived there until we all left for the USA. I remember Orange Drink at Town Centre. Dad played for Corby Silver Band. Pen Green Lane, Willow Brook Road, Chelveston Drive. Thank you!

Great wee video about a great wee town. The guy singing 'These are my mountains' from 14:10 onwards is a cracking singer by the way! Anybody know the fella's name?

Just reached retirement age a month ago, the film took me right back to when I was fifteen or so, recognized a few of the faces from the steelworks and in the town centre, and I think I saw an old girlfriend in the clip from the Grammar School, I've been living in Brisbane, Australia for nearly 30 years, but the film took me right back to Corby 1963!! The Welfare, the Bin, the Raven, aaah!

Nice to see something so nostalgic and above all positive about the cultural melting-pot (or smelting pot?) that so many of all call home. Awesome...thanks for posting this. ;)

great, loved it. Worked on 24 hour Corby this year which asked the people of Corby 'HOw was your day" lots of contemporary thoughts of Corby today . Find on you tube. Loved looking at this wee film. A home for the homeless, well my dad came from a war torn Corby, displaced by war. How many generations it asks? Well this is well and truly my home xx

Memories..Registration was taken for the camera, with certain kids chosen to be in the picture. I seem to recall thinking "Why not me?" off camera with the rest of us. I also watched them film the girls playing outside. It's 43 yrs ago! Many of us did leave Corby, I am in Canada 23 years now. Had to laugh, at 10, I fancied Fiona Gilchrist! And did Gwynfor ever grow? So many memories, the hall at Grammar School, town centre, Arnolds toys, the market, and green buses. I'm seeing my childhood.
