That first pen you used looks like a rollerball type pen. All ballpoint pens have oil based ink, that is their defining feature. A new hybrid type has appeared in the last few years, like the Uni Jetstream Ballpoint Pen.
As you discovered, it all comes down to the type of ink. Mr. Pen has oil based pens. FriXion pens work also. As you saw, sharpies with permanent ink work great, but not other Sharpies. I use the Sharpie Ultra Fine permanent ink on them all the time. Pencils work too. Great Video!

I am in LOVE with your calligraphy/lettering! Really wish I could write like you !! This is my first year doing bullet journaling, and I think this inspired me even more, I hope you get more recognition ;3
ahaha your calligraphy still slays even after a year of not doing bullet journaling!!
