CArly, DOm & HAnk make up the crew of Cadoha. We're challenging ourselves to a new life on the water, exploring and showing off some of the best-kept secrets along our home shores. We're slowly building out our blue water sailing boat to be a comfortable liveaboard boat, capable of expended periods of time off of the grid, with a mix of modern technology and old.
Follow our adventures as we learn to find, forage and catch our own food, whilst learning to sail our floating home to so many stunning destinations. We make friends all along the coastline, who we learn and grow from, in our quest for ultimate freedom!
The world has never felt so fragile to us as it has these past couple of years, so come and join us as we prepare this vessel and ourselves to be ready for anything!

Hope Carly and baby "Dom" are doing great and Hanks nose isn't too out of joint. ❤ Where you gonna put the baby when you go sailing? Have to build a small Cadoha to put him in 😉
Good to see work resuming. It's well worth making the repairs, doing the maintenance, and certainly the upgrades too. I can't remember if you have a washing machine and dryer on board, probably requires some battery/solar/charging, etc. upgrades, but so important for the things that need to be washed and dried in any conditions. Hope Carly and son are doing well. I'm sure Hank will soon be over all the upheaval and be ready for the baby's testing and tugging.
i owned and refitted a vagabond 42 during hurricane katrina in new orleans…she was one of 2 boats that didn’t get blown onto land and was still floating …can’t imagine how many other yachts banged into her after the water rose and they all broke loose from the docks…i found her on the other side of the marina with not one part of her hull that wasn’t scraped, but she was on her own bottom…and i’ll bet that this one will be floating again… this must have been a very terrifying experience, by feeling so helpless during the height of it…good job keeping it together mate! cheers!
Best wishes to Carly and your little man, hope both are doing well? Also, look after yourself Dom as you’ll be dealing with a lot of anxiety when your loved ones are recovering from such a traumatic experience. Don’t forget about your health. 👍🏻🙏⛵️
Internal fan broke on mine and by the time I’d fixed it ( time /parts ) decided to buy a spare as (a) cheap (b)contains a full list of all possible spares and (c) if the heater fails it’s a 30 minute job to swap in the new one before my good lady has time to check the bus timetable home 😂 PS Feel for you and Carrie as you must feel conflicted through pressure to put out content on RU-vid (as its your bread and butter) but you have so much more important things to think of ... I would keep anything short and your supporters will continue to watch / subscribe etc through challenging times
Good man, I put same one in 4 yrs ago for £89 after my £1200 mikuni burned out after 10 yrs mmmmmm🤔🤔🤔🤔. Great deal. Good luck with the familam stuff, it’ll work out, my goddaughter had same, now she’s in uni playing rugby👍👍👍👍
Ho Dom, Thanks for the update, best wishes for everyone. Just one thing you could have do e to the heater, there is a mesh screen around the glow plug that will be probably plugged with carbon, this also stops the heater from igniting. Easy to replace with the glow plug removed...there are plenty of videos you can watch to get the best method of removing. Keep up the good work.
One job at a time, my philosophy entirely. Doesn't matter what you are doing, as long as you are doing something. Only problem for some reason that list on the fridge door never seems to get any shorter 🙂
Wishing you, Carly, and your baby a good future, Good work on the Diesel heater.. Heres one for the dog. Ok a break from the football . . So I'm at Pets at Home buying a bag of dog food for my dog. While in the check-out line, a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Why else would I be buying dog food, RIGHT??? So on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Dog Food Diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and all you do is load your pockets with handfuls of dry food and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a spaniel's backside and a lorry hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Now that you've read this I have to confess, I copied it. Now make someone else laugh 😉 😂😂😂
Great to see you hope her indoors is doing alright as well as the wee man. Just need to remember every year service the diesel heater. A lot of people would just chuck it and get a new one. See you soon.
Awesome channel showing the best of British South Coast cruising, definitely worth a thumbs up and subscribe, best wishes to all. Would love to see you in the Bailiwick of Guernsey at some point fingers crossed.
Good job Dom - One thought. Heaters from the main brands do like to be run hard from time to time for a while to help them stay clean - the same idea as a diesel engine running hard v idling. Might be worth trying it in future to extend service interval
