We are a family farm whose main location is by St. Francisville Illinois. We farm a little over 11,000 in Lawrence, Crawford, and Wabash counties in Illinois and Knox county Indiana
Truly an amazing farming operation! I wish I could live a life like that. I can't imagine anything better than working with the soil & growing crops. It's an honour to see all you farmers in action.
Always a good feeling to wrap up planting. Considering the acreage of your farms and varied soil types and drainage...some replant is probably inevitable. Late May thru early June can be a rainy season in our part of Ohio. Got beans to plant and the rest of the hay to finish. Even with our limited acres, never a dull moment with weather and breakdowns.
Great video Glade you got everything planted, Jay getting be a great sprayer operator for your farm .Can"t wait to see what you guys doing next week. 👍👍
Congratulations on finishing up!!! Glad all that severe weather is staying away from Ivers Farm!!! Keep them quality videos coming Reese!!! from Wyoming!!
Can I ask what your fertilization program is? P and K in the fall dry airflow by coop? No starter on planter anymore? Then all N is sidedressed once or twice during growing season? Do you put zinc on your corn? and if you do how do you apply it without starter? I really appreciate your videos. I learn a lot. I farm in central Minnesota. We are wet. Corn is up and looking good, probably the best emergence we have ever had. It looks perfect but we didn't get anything planted until the 11th of May. Some guys around here planted late April and it took 3 weeks to come out of the ground and really uneven. Thanks again for the videos
I would think as a percentage of total acres planted the amount of replanting would be small. Glad to see planting complete. Wishing you and all of your families a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend from Oklahoma.
Good job of getting your crop in Hope you don’t have to replant much up here. In southern Wisconsin. We’re about 3/4 done with corn and beans really wet be safe.
Congratulations on a successful planting season! Here in Northern ND we are down to only 1000 acres to go. 700 of beans and 300 acres of canola. 2 or 3 days left
Great videos. As a former farmer in Eastern MT. I cannot believe the volume of grain during harvest. At 30 bu./acre we did not have to deal with the volume of grain.
Reese look up trench wheels for ATV's. We use them in the south to make very small ditches to drain our fields. They are very narrow steel wheels for ATV's. It would sav you a lot of shoveling.
