Ann Arbor In Concert (A2IC) is a new performing arts group, based in Ann Arbor, that focuses on bringing members of the community together to perform the "giant" musicals in a concert setting. This means that show is performed in its entirety but simply without the sets and costumes. It involves a full 52-piece orchestra, a full singing ensemble, a full dance ensemble, and the leading actors. It allows 100+ individuals in the community to come together to put on the epic musicals like Showboat, Ragtime, and Les Miserables. While A2IC is based in Ann Arbor members of all the surrounding communities are invited and encouraged to participate as well including Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, and other surrounding areas.
I really like the choice of having Moritz on stage. I've never seen that before, but it made me so emotional. Whether the cracking was due to emotions/ just a regular voice crack, it doesn't matter because I had chills.
Everyone is saying the choreography is better than the original Broadway production? First of all, these actors can't even harmonize their voices. This is so fucking awful I really don't know what else to say.
The actors are great but I really disagree with taking from the Spring Awakening deaf production's choreography... it doesn't make sense to use this staging when there are non-deaf actors.
@Amber ty! Honestly it's plagiarism, they are stealing choreography that was created by a deaf theater company, and it's also ignoring what the actual play's script says. Makes no sense

that was fuking insane,,, his kiss to martha, his hug with ernst, his almost connecting with his father but never really doing so,, his hug with melchior whos voice breaks,,, the way hanschen is sitting and his nervous look at moritz's father. amazing choro
The choreography was way better than in the original production! Like they have so much more freedom to express themselves through body without those handheld mics. Also I like that the choreography is more sexual - more to the message/brutal sexual impulses the adolescent boys have :)
