I am an all round animal lover! Back in 2003 I tamed my first mink, and from there wanted to see what kind of useful things I could teach a mink. Eventually I ended up doing various kinds of pest control with my trained mink. My channel shows many of the various pest control jobs I do with my trained mink and dogs, as well as me showing various training methods I use with my animals.
I once watched a similar video years ago, but I forgot which animal it was that was the predator. Anyway, this animal would go out at night to catch rodents. It would track them down, attack, kill, drag it back to its burrow--but not eat it. That’s ALL this animal did. It would kill the rats, then simply stockpile the rodents’ corpse inside the burrow. Lots and lots of them, but the predator wouldn’t eat the damn things.
Poor Joe. It's like he did more work than the mink did. Mink 1 brown rat, Joe 4 muskrats. Though I think its cute and very grown up at the same time that Olive has a mink as well. stepping into her father's footsteps quite nicely.
This is insane. Look, we have a Yorkie. What I know of them, and only finding out after we got her, is that they are, or were, rat dogs back in the day. But this video, all of Joseph’s videos….I had no idea there was such a thing as this. And after watching it, I don’t see how our little 8 lb York was ever a rat and mouse hunter. You can’t stop watching these amazing animals.
The other day I finally caught a groundhog that has been burrowing under my back porch and at the foundation of my house. Been trying to get that sucker for about a year. Caught him in a live trap trap...without any bait. Go figure.
Hi Joe, another fantastic video. Well done to Sherlock and rascal catching the rats. Joe your daughters are very beautiful. Sending love to the Family, Sherlock, Rascal, all Minks and Dogs. From, Jacqui, Perth, Western Australia.
I usually don't comment on videos, but you deserve the utmost respect for all your great work and professionalism, I'd wish there were more people like this. I salute you good sir 🫡
You do know your daughters are going to find it hard to find husbands right? They will be twice the outdoorsman of 90% of men 😂😂😂. First date, guy asks if she wants to go to a movie. She says, well we could. But I have my mink with me so maybe muskrat hunting instead 😂😂😂. Just messing with you Joe. Keep it up!!!
It sounds like you're just joking, but just to clarify incase you're not, we never would have netted anything without the mink. Without the mink the rat and muskrats would have just sat in their holes and we never would have seen let alone caught them.
Some Dont Die as Quickly as Said… Normalized to the Rats Screams not hearing them. They are a Rodent and Can do a lot of Damage if.not brought Under control. They can build up numbers Fast. Poison is Risky.
