I was at this show I remember a few years later hearing that before the show started she was on the floor crying close to rock bottom. I remember she seemed sad when she gave away a car before the show back stage :( It was such an awesome concert the intro to this tour was great when she hits the note from addicted. THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING!!!!
screw you Hodges for being the reason or at least part of it that put that hurt in Kelly. The way she changed the lyrics really got to me, the 'maybe he'll need me, he'll see me, completely. Maybe he'll love me then'. this was the lowest point in kelly's life, and you can see that hurt there. you can hear it. No one can emote a song quite like kelly clarkson
@kelfan1 I noticed that too. don't know if it had anything to do with what she was goin through or not. she has a habbit of doing stuff like that randomly. it fits though, and her performance was key.
the "studio" version of this song was still recorded 'LIVE' because they did it for congress on the hill or something like that.. still my favorite song.
thank you for posting this. I went to the Charlotte concert on the Addicted Tour and I couldn't find anyother good quality video of Mabye after the tour was over...just want you to know I watched this video like 50 times because it was such good quality and a beautiful song, weird that she would end up writing irvine after this show....
her best live performance ever. i was at this concert, and the emotion was so raw. it was amazing, and this is one of my fav. songs by far. this performance gives me the chills because she put so much emotion in it and obviously she was feeling down as well.
I was at this concert - I remember having the feeling that something wasn't exactly right with her. Then we found out that she had cancelled her meet and greet session which she never does.. So, not too long ago I stumbled upon a newspaper article that said that this concert was "the lowest point in her life." She is a phenomenal singer and deservers all the credit she can get! Rock on Kelly!
watching this video makes me want to cry because i know how sad kelly was feeling since she wrote irvine this night. it makes me wonder what got her so down, but i respect that we'll probably never REALLY know. it's really sad to picture kelly lying on the bathroom floor writing a song while basically praying to god to ask if he's really there.
her voice sounds kinda sick here, and it cracked a little bit at one part but still it sounds so pretty, i got goosebumps the first time i heard her sing this.
