what if the battery module was bad. Is there a way to reset that? The 10 12v9Ahr batteries were replaced, along with checking the fuse. After the swap it works for about a minute until we get the bad battery module fault. Any advise?
There is a computer chip that you replace on the circuit board however it's not worth the time or effort to replace. It is best to replace the whole module.
@@Dr.UPS-Lonewolf I´ve seen somewhere a 35USD price for that service (for reprogramming the PCB) while without that the batt. replacement is useless and ups will declare a battery alarm after some time... the question is whether we would trust such a solution unless it comes directly from the manufacturer...
@@tddrivers I would like to direct you to the company I work for. Gruber Power. We have been doing this for years without one issue. We do this because it is more cost effective. Feel free to ask for the depot. They will freely tell you what is done.
Another hint: Would it be fine, if 96V battery systems are handled on a wooden table? (saving batteries an mechanic's live). The table in the video looks like a metal table (surface) Does anyone wonder about a SYBT5 (new batteries installed), but Symmetra LX is telling you: bad battery? Think about the little 8-pin E-EPROM 93C66B ......
Congratulation: You killed the Tyco plug (positiv lock) , by using pliers. Popcorn! Understanding how Positiv lock works: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LTAUBlrxfTY.html
They rarely blow a fuse. But you are right. Always check the fuse. Also, if the module went into thermal run away the printed circuit board may be damaged as well.
If your UPS has a battery alarm, it could be because the batteries have failed. If you have replaced the batteries and still have the alarm it's because the UPS end of battery life timer has expired. This end of life timer can only be reset by the factory. The factory only has the software rights. I do see this a lot on UPS's. It's a money maker for them. There is no way to turn off the alarm. The issue causing the alarm has to be fixed.
