Yeah.. except for that guy who got beaten up 2 blocks from his house in Melbourne because he dared to go buy groceries during COVID lockdowns when we had literal concentration camps :) And except for the new surveillance laws passed at the same time (August 2019) when everyone was distracted that literally state if you're simply suspected of 'criminal activity' the police can file for a warrant and before the warrant has cleared a magistrate (in other words warrants are no longer necessary - so long as one is 'pending' signing by a judge) are now allowed to 'add, remove, and alter content on your electronic devices which will immediately get seized (meaning it's now possible for police in Australia to now plant digital 'evidence' on your phone or computer and use it to prosecute you for any arbitrary reason and it's all legal (and we thought the Terror Police thing was bad LOL). And except for the fact that we sold out the best journalist of our generation, to the US, for not committing any crimes other than hurting the US National Security State Collective Ego. And except for the fact that we DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT FOR FREE SPEECH OR ANY CIVILI RIGHTS AMENDMENTS IN OUR CONSTITUTION FOR THAT MATTER. *cough* Pine Gap *cough* I could go on for pages but I'll stop here :)

@@kawinb8563 too cooked, honestly, australians can protest, we are literally doing it...? so lemme get this straight, you guys want the police to crack down on protests, not allow them to happen or have the protestors arrested, but you also want to not have the police do that to.... ??? what are "australians" to be protesting in your mind? if you have a cause that has overwhelming support then you should obviously have no problem organising whatever protest you feel is necessary, and the right do so under law.
