Awesome. Can you list names of tools used and materials/ brands, etc, in the video description so that someday I want to try, I can make sure I get the right things? Enjoyed watching the process.

Don't bother cutting the tiles as a start. Do that later once you get used to the process. I make some pots without cutting. Materials: 4 rectangular tiles (Home Depot or tile store) JB Weld adhesive Clear tape or masking tape Mortar mix Wire mesh (optional) 2"x2" tiles for feet Painting trowels A short pieces of PVC pipe to cut the drainage hole Assemble the Pot Base: Place the 4 tiles together in a rectangular shape, ensuring they fit snugly. Use clear or masking tape to secure the tiles temporarily. Apply JB Weld to the seams between the tiles and allow to cure overnight. Create the Base: Mix mortar according to package instructions and apply a layer to a flat surface. Add wire mesh to the base for extra strength, pressing it into the mortar. Once the mortar feels hard, use the PVC pipe and cut a hole in the middle for drainage. Add the Feet: Next day, apply JB Weld or mortar to the bottom corners of the pot base. Place a 2"x2" tile in each corner, pressing firmly to secure. Let it Cure: Allow the mortar and feet to cure completely Optionally, you can seal the mortar with some kind of sealer.

How often do you water them? Nice collection ❤
@ChopsticksDIYGarden
@ChopsticksDIYGarden 5 дней назад
Thank you!!! I check the soil moisture with a meter to see if it needs watering. Usually, it takes about 2 weeks for the soil to dry out completely, but some pots might dry out faster if they get more sunlight or if they use a different soil mix. I've noticed that cacti prefer dry soil over wet soil. I'm still learning, so I'm always experimenting and trying new things.
@GardenDiscovery

@ChopsticksDIYGarden same here- always learning. And not all cacti like the same conditions.
@alltsab
@alltsab 5 дней назад
Does it take that much water?
@ChopsticksDIYGarden
@ChopsticksDIYGarden 5 дней назад
I usually water my cacti thoroughly, like, once the soil is completely dry, which is about every 2 weeks in the summer. The ones that get more sun dry out faster. With the soil mix I use, the water just goes right through, so I water for a bit longer, but the extra water just drains out, leaving the soil moist but not soggy. If you use the wrong soil mix, too much water could kill them.

Beautiful cactus but it would be very helpful for newbie’s like me to know what kind of potting mix you are using.
@ChopsticksDIYGarden
@ChopsticksDIYGarden 18 дней назад
Thank you for watching and commenting. I'm not an expert myself when it comes to cactus or gardening in general. I'm experimenting with different soil mixes. What seems to work best for me is using 1 part Miracle-Gro potting mix, 1 part perlite, and 1 part small or medium redwood bark. Miracle-Gro potting mix provides all the nutrients your plants need and also contains slow-release fertilizer. The perlite helps retain water, and the bark allows air to reach the roots while aiding drainage. Sometimes I reuse old soil mix, so I add a bit of Osmocote slow-release fertilizer and sprinkle some cinnamon powder to keep the bugs away from the soil. I water my cacti thoroughly when the soil mix is completely dry, which is usually about once a week. Overwatering can cause root rot and kill the plants.

@ChopsticksDIYGarden
@ChopsticksDIYGarden 17 дней назад
Thank you for watching and commenting. That's a great question! Originally, I placed the four small cacti in the corners of the pot, but then I decided to move them closer to the Parodia for a "friendship" theme. You're right; they might be a bit too close together. I'll give them some time and then reposition them to prevent the Parodia from poking them. Thanks again for the helpful comment.

how would you rate this motor compared to the ml320 for longevity
@ChopsticksDIYGarden
@ChopsticksDIYGarden 18 дней назад
Unfortunately, I don't own an ML320, so I can't directly compare it to the ML350. However, I can confidently say that the 2003 ML350 I own is exceptionally solid. With only routine maintenance over the years, it drives remarkably like new and still packs a powerful punch.
