The Hose is 2 pieces. You have the metal pipe to the air compressor that goes under the floor and connects to another hose to the air dryer. There is a plate that you have to remove under the floor mat is the best way to get to it.
@whisperingmoments8731 would've never thought to look there. Thank you. I'm having trouble breaking the hose loose at this point. The metal standoff on top of the trans that the hoses are secured to just bends.
That's all you have to do is let off the throttle and shift up or down unless you have a racing four wheeler which then you have to use the clutch handle.
Thank you very much for this. I Just took a break from doing mine an hour ago. Wasn’t sure how to take those 3 hoses off at the top. I felt like I was going to break something, but obviously I can be more forceful;). My pump cracked at the electric connector when we had minus 49 here in Edmonton Alberta Canada a few weeks back. Question. Where do you get your diagnostic program/laptop? You said you paid 170 (I believe) in another question here. Is that the total for everything too?
To answer your question about diagnosis, it's a program that a dealership can buy from Mack/ Volvo. When I said I paid $170 that's what a customer will pay per hour for diagnosis or repair
I replaced AHI by following the steps exactly as you did. Appreciated it. This video is the only one that shows how to replace AHI without disconnecting all hoses and with right camera angles. BTW,the sound of music is pretty loud, I can barely hear you but I can see every single step clearly. Thank you!
I heard you ok. Till the music was playing. Then I couldn't understand what you said. Until the music stopped. Still the visual example showed what needs to be done. Thank you.
I got mine changed mine at dealership and after 45000 miles another dealership said flex pipe and the pump pours def excessively. D rate mode is killing it
@johnnymac7634 wiggle, wiggle. I usually get underneath the cab with a pry bar to hold it up in the front of the compressor and guide it in from the back with help
what, 38 minutes of trying to listen to someone talk, which was completely impossible? F minus for thinking that was a good idea. The content didn't deserve that.
@@whisperingmoments8731 the music overwhelmed what was being said so we couldn't hear. Good to see this new style AHI being changed. I've had to change the old brick style a few times and hated the hell out of it for difficulty reaching it. In this case I don't think they made it any easier putting it in the fuel housing. For one thing when you disconnect those quick-connect lines, a few of them can't be reached with your fingers to squeeze the releases. You have to put a pick in one side and squeeze your finger on the other. Maybe I'm missing a tool. Thank God the torx bolts crack loose okay. Interesting to see that you had to pry for a while to get it out -- that's because a double-O-ring nipple goes into the fuel housing and had to be backed out. Used small pry bar instead of screwdriver. Not an awful job but was expecting to crack a brittle fuel line but didn't
