Just one friendly advice, people remember the patterns more than the name of who made them so it makes it hard to find exactly the pattern they're interested in because you listed the designers instead. Althought it's nice that their handles are actually linked in the description because I've seen videos where the patterns are just mentioned and people have to go look them up themselves.
Hey, I have a doubt on row 14 (the one you attatch the points), does the stitch (sc) where you attatch one point to an other count as one of the 13 sc + dc? or it doesnt count as a stitch?
Excellent, clear instructions. Great video & tutorial! But most of all, I love that you mark your stitches with a bobby pin =D I'm the same way -- can never find a stitch marker when I need one, but bobby pins are everywhere!
thank you!! 🏈 and i’ve honestly never even bothered to buy real stitch markers 😂 i never use bobby pins but i always seem to have some so i might as well use them lmao
oh no!! what do you think is making it not turn out? it’s been a while since i’ve made this so i can look over the pattern to see what the issue might be :)
@@crochantelle aaaa thank you for the response! Unfortunately I don’t know what’s causing it, I’ve tried turning it inside out, tightening the yarn, loosening it, etc. but always around the 3rd or 4th round it loses its shape
What do I need to do to get my hands on these patterns. I will do anything, pay any money, I need them. I’m devastated, I’ve been searching for the pattern for these for what feels like ages. I feel so strongly towards these beautiful little orbs.
😂😂 Rolls right off the couch, out the door, and down the street. And it's always when I'm almost done and about to cut it but just need a tiny bit more
the least it could do is pick up groceries while it’s out 🙄😂 but this is why i try to do the center pull- but then you get “yarn vomit” with that option lmao
@crochantelle 😂😂😂 Yarn vomit that actually has the other end in it is ok- I can work with that- it's usually a pretty easy untangle. It's the ones where you pull out a whole wad of yarn barf from both ends and never find the other end 🤣
Hello! Not sure you'll answer this since it's been 6 months.. I followed this tutorial but made the star points bigger to make this crochet into a pillow (turned out to be 44 by 44 cm). Each of the last rows have 60 stitches in them (19 rows total), when connecting it took 30 stitches across for each two star points to connect, in total 150 (20th row). So in 21st row I should have around 145 stitches ig..? My question is, can i skip not 5 but 7 or 10 stitches when decreasing, so i can save some yarn? I can't really calculate how to do so, sadly😭 So sorry if my comment sounds rude, I'm VERY grad I stumbled across this tutorial🙏🏻
not rude at all!! i was actually planning on making a tutorial for a pillow sized star ⭐️ but you beat me to it lol! you can absolutely decrease faster, the one concern is there might be gaps between the stitches. typically in amigurumi 8 is the most to decrease by without the gaps forming. intervals of 6 goes into 150 easily but i’m not sure if that would be quick enough. have you tried decreasing yet? just curious if something is working for you yet (sorry for the late reply!)
only started, so i can't say anything yet :"] but i calculated the number of stitches to decrease while saving yarn. as you said, 6 for 150, then 8 for 144, 136, 128, etc.. then from 40 you can decrease by 5 and 3 as in your tutorial OR continue decreasing by 8 :] i also had an option to make an interval of 5 for 150, 145 and 140 but it would've been too time consuming.. i'll update on how it will turn out in a day!
tell me why i first thought you were talking about the winter soldier 😭 (sebastian stan) i completely forgot about the little mermaid! and sparkly yarn is TOTALLY the way to go haha
I started with a granny square! I LOVED and still love making them. It makes my heart happy to crochet them, traditional ones and solid ones I love it!. Have I done anything wuth them? Nope I have hundreds of them in different rooms of my house in assorted bags I have not and will not ever join them to make anything 😅😅my joy comes from crocheting them I font even mind weaving in the ends. But I will never make anything with them 😂😂
hahaha i love that! i also really enjoy making them (currently working on a sweater), but i have never figured out how to properly attach them which is why i never really make any! but i've already make over half of the squares for my sweater so there's no turning back now 😂
ouuuu i could try something like making one of those loose stitch sweaters!! i definitely need to try that, and i think dc would be best for a sweater right?
Thanks for making this tutorial and pattern! It was fun and easy to follow, and mine turned out great just in regular (hot pink 😄) acrylic yarn. One small thing that I did wonder about was that you referred to rows instead of rounds, although the star isn't worked flat 🤔
i’ve always used the two terms synonymously! i never realized that rounds were more often used in amigurumi 😂 to be fair though i start designing my own patterns quite early on when i started amigurumi so i guess i didn’t read enough patterns that had rounds used!
i like that idea!! in my 3+ years of crocheting, a couple weeks ago was the first time i ever made a dish cloth lol, i'll definitely add that to my recommendations list!
yes i totally agree! i always just worry about the repetivity required if you're going to learn how to make granny squares, since most projects require quite a few! but yes, they really are good beginner projects for those who are open to slightly bigger projects :)
I dont know where i went wrong… I’ve been crocheting rows for the past hour and counted 32 stitches when i found a stopping point to close off my cylinder😅😅
@@crochantelle i did :( Thinking back i mightve made an extra increase before i started doing the back loops on accident. Luckily the piece im working on is just a practice piece! I’ll just have to be sure to pay a bit more attention whenever i start the actual project
@@crochantelle I actually have a positive update! I did a single invisible decrease in 2 separate rows right before i had to decrease with the backloops only and it ended up working perfectly!
