No way, I'm so glad I watched this video cause I also never knew my sunroof could do that. I always see images of the sunroof tilted and never knew! (Owner for approx 7 months!)
You mentioned that you plan to remap it. I know it's been 6 years already and you might not have the car anymore, but how was the remap in terms of reliability?
Yeah sold it a few years ago, I did indeed map it (end tuning in Birmingham) it ran alot better then stock and was alot nicer to drive. I would also recommend doing a decat (first cat on the downpipe) as it allows the turbo to spool easier - I didn't get around to that but my mates had the decat downpipe and it spooled alot nicer 👍
@@kashv2500 thanks for the reply! The decat sounds like a good idea. The better & earlier turbo punch sounds great already (if caused by the decat alone), as I always feel this car is quite lazy until 2200-2500 rpm. (Might be the swirl flaps being off haha)
Everything you said is spot on. I'm an original '98 M3 owner it's still my favorite car of all time. Everything after the E46 is super heavy and feels like you have 500 computers between you and the road. I had an E92 330i and I could usually muscle it around and take the M3 but the experience was terrible... heavy, no steering feel, zero throttle response w/ the turbo.. I'm getting offers for the E36 M3 all the time now.
Its a euro s50 engine/intake. You cant easily fit it to a none euro engine. Howvever, there are some conversion kits on the market now, unsure or prices for the m5x engines
hi kash, just came across this vid, i cant beleive i found someone who loves E36 as much as me,ive had 4 of them, 318is, x2 , M3 GT2 and 325, now im looking for a Alpine White M3 S50 or a 328i sport, gr8 informative vid, let me know if u here of anu white e36 up forsale. again cool vid.
Afraid not, still got the car though. My brother has put a full straight through on his 330d it made a massive difference in response on his e46. It will on the 320d too
@@kashv2500 Thanks for info!! I installed mine yesterday and set it to the shortest position. I'm very happy with the feel!! In the future I will also install the bushings kit.
Update: I set it about 5mm further the shortest position because it was very notchy. Now it's perfect!! Also ordered metallic shifter bushings for better feeling.
Kash V its got a holset hx35, openeed the block to lower conpression and shes ready to rock, no dynos/tune yet so any mans guess but ill be happy with 350/350 split or near abouts
