I'm so glad RU-vid suggested this to me! Wonderful piece, I'm so happy I got to see it. I can't count the times I've had my card declined at waffle house or something after paying rent or buying groceries. Telling the cashier "Hang on, lemme check my bank app real quick" isn't even a surprise anymore. Done it several times at the pet store.
Happy you stopped by to watch! Yeah this story was inspired by this time when I was in college at Sacramento and didn't have enough money for dinner. So happy to not be in that situation anymore let me tell ya.
Thank you! I hope I can continue to do this and make money as an independent storyboard artist as I don't think big studios will let me tell stories like this.
oh my god i can't BELIEVE i haven't been recommended this video until now, youtube has failed me. i love seeing other artists expanding on drawfee bits. the perspectives on this were so sick too! (side note, the caption being almost entirely drawfee shilling is SO funny to me. also extremely relatable.)
THIS IS ACTUALLY AMAZING. I hope they see this!!!!! (Also Jacob calling Karina "ma'am" is very funny to me considering how much they disrespect each other in real life 😂)
I thought up the Karina being the head of a government-type body tasked with containing MP and couldn't stop laughing when I had her assistant be Jacob.
The dichotomy between the subtle flashback scenes that show but don't tell and the extremely heavy-handed beam fight is beautiful. An exquisite examination of the conflict between quiet love and the horrifying violence that ends it. This is high art.
wait, so like karina is now trying to eradicate her own creation and probably childhood friend because they've gotten too dangerous? Damn that's some anime shit I'd watch. Well done well done
THIS~ Yeah in my head Karina's foundness for a lost childhood **redacted** caused her to experiment with it but now it's grown too dangerous to allow to live. Thanks for watching!
I was expecting an animation of a drawfee episode, and instead I got a truly inspired work of art. The drama, the lore, the captions… it’s *chefs kiss*
