RORY STEWART IS ONE OF THE BRIGHTEST BRAINS THE CONSERVATIVES HAD IN THEIR GOVERNMENT ! NO WONDER HE WAS FORCED OUT BY THIS MORRON JOHNSON SO HE COULD GO ON WITH HIS CLOWNESQUE SHOW AND DESTROY THE COUNTRY WITH HIS LIES !
Thankyou Sir Roy, very inspiring. I just wonder if, giving direct, is based on the assumption that the money will be held and used by an individual? Money in many majority world countries belongs to the extended family and its spending will be driven by immediate need of the older members of the community which will often be food and medical needs.
Absolutely brilliant! What a treasure!!! This lecture is better than all of my writing classes at school combined! A huge THANKS @GreenTempleton for sharing this with the internet world :D
wonderful initiative by GTC and such a great speaker to round out the lecture series. joseph stiglitz is an indispensable voice in the worlds of policy and economics.
Former US Navy SEAL, Oxford Said (2018), presently complex systems social scientist (practicing as a private consultant). I love it, but the picture is too rosy. The biologist in me says that diversity drives resiliency, a significant portion of which is self-organization or, in human terms, reinvention (learning and adapting). However, diversity also drives conflict. To truly harness diversity means we have to wade into the world of conflict, the world of bias, especially the tendency to categorize (people and things) and then draw stark boundaries around them. Our narratives reveal us/them categories, right/wrong absolutes, and a fight (for our way) or die (by theirs) mindset. We become combative, not cooperative. So while we are focusing on the boon of D&I, we also have to reframe conflict as a positive, a resource. That's been my experience but research supports it as well.
What a great gift for us! I was really deeply impressed by your unbelievably vivid, unique and spiritual interpretations of two phenomenal tone-worlds of Beethoven and Chopin! We are very proud of you, dear Maki-san!
As astonishing as always - wonderful, controlled, sensitive, delicate playing when required and fireworks next minute. A world class performance - Thank you so much, Maki.
