I bought a mattress from them through The Wool Room in 2019, the Oxford 9000. They have since added new mattresses to their range. Whilst I wish I had gone for a firm tension mattress instead of the standard regular (medium) tension, I simply cannot fault them for quality and craftmanship. Absolutely superb. All natural materials and fibres. Absolutely no unnatural or unpleasant odours, no harmful chemicals, and is fantastic at helping you to manage your body heat through the night. With a reputation for tradition, hard graft and quality, you can't beat it. Yorkshire; where Legends are made.
It would be great to have details on the viscose you use, it can be nasty stuff to produce, potentially dangerous to the workers who manufacture it and to the forest's it's raw material is being sourced from. Love every other aspect of your mattresses, but a bit concerned about that point.
I have just viewed the Harrison Spinks factory video from there company website, I had no idea the level of skill, attention to detail, innovation and expertise is invested into the production of a bed mattress. The size and scope of the factory is impressive to say the least, the mechanical equipment and facilities within the building promote excellence and professionalism from all corners of the factory. They have integrated the traditional hand skills and mechanical technology perfectly in there manufacturing processes, concluding in a first class product. I was equally as impressed with there use of natural products, and the sustainability of the business in these difficult and challenging times. A well managed and innovative company, very impressive.
Great job of highlighting ageless English countryside with hints to English Industrial Revolution ingenuity (cotton mills etc) and then shamefully tipping cap to the cult of diversity by including a person of non English heritage.
I'm still nerding out about the Hempcrete! How freaking amazing is that stuff! I'd heard about bricks coming out of Europe that absorbed a certain amount of Carbon from the environment, but I had no idea they were a hemp-based brick! That's amazing!
That’s right! Hemp is one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly crops, and its versatility means it can be used for a wide variety of different applications, including mattress fillings!
That is crazy awesome! Thank you so much for making and sharing this video! I've already had several customer opportunities to talk about all these amazing points and features! People love this eco-friendly and renewable story!
Got the HD5000 mattress from John Lewis and it has got rid of my shoulder pain after a few days which I was getting as my old memory foam mattress was sagging in places, even though it was only about 6 years old.
+mikeyduncanxx1 I'd say after a few months use now that it is not bad. I would however say that it is not as comfortable as my old memory foam mattress was. I think I'd rather get a new memory foam mattress every 3 years for £400 than one of these for £900 with hindsight. My experience of the memory foam was that you felt a massive difference from day 1 while this is not bad.
