There should have been a 3rd round. Kite intentionally held back but held back a little too much. This would have worked on a typical opponent, but Jin is far from typical. Hypothetical here, but lets say "if." -- If in a fictional world where the judges did not know who Kite was or his monumental legacy, they could have voted for Jin. Although Kite utilized more experience and control in his dancing, Jin's non-stop combos was enough to take the win ever so slightly. He reminded me of a young Kite.
I have to thank the OGs of this dance style, as well as many others who branched-off from boogoloo, whether popping, locking, or break dancing, as they birthed newer, but still beautiful, artistic, creative - black dances/expressions/styles, that spread to all over this planet - despite all obstacles and anti energy! Many black OGs: including a multitude who were scholastic, professional, athletic and profitable contributers; received little fame, compensation, investment, and credit in comparison to their output!! So many black people especially, are honored waaay after their contribution or even their lifetime... I tip my hat, and wish all of you black OGs could've received your just due, but then - this world would have been greater than, what it is❣️
he awaight, he just like Suga Pop dey awaight, they might have started or at the beginning but dudes like Poppin Taco / Poppin Pete / Skeeter Rabbit RIP took it to next level, jus sayin
Is it just me or does anyone think Kite san dancing with back injuries? His torso looked stiffer than before seems like he’s trying avoiding risky positions
Nice contrast. Gucchon with the control, counter balancing and speed changes. DS with the waves, blow ups and effects. If you asked me which of these dancers i've enjoyed watching more over the years, it's Gucchon. I liked DS more here though. Not as technically intricate, but dope energy and more raw.
