I'm glad you've come to visit my channel! I love to take trips into the great outdoors and I believe in trying to pass on some of the tricks I've learned. I think it is important for everyone to go out into nature to get away from the pressing matters of work or school, as well as the technology that can become such a huge part of our lives.
This being said, I enjoy a good RTS game when I'm not in the outdoors. My goal is to provide some instructive as well as entertaining content for my viewers. I do not publish frequently but my hope is my videos can be useful to other players. I do also from time to time provide videos that are simply to be enjoyed if something happens that I think is particularly exciting.
If you enjoy the videos make sure to drop a like and let me know your thoughts.
Found this video doing research for the TL rope work badge. Clicked on the channel, and whaddya know, series of videos for the TL badge. Appreciate it! Walk Worthy!
Unique presentation-demo. Learned something. Audio could be better however. Redundant talk at the outset but narration during actual demo could be more complete. Nice effort. Thanks.
You edited out how to do the first tread right? There's way stronger ways of lashing floor, I wouldn't recommend this one, just look up bushcraft shelter structure knot.
Very easy to watch vid, thanks. Is there a general guide to how much the poles need to overlap? I'm looking to try and make a ridge poll for an a frame shelter to take to my next camping event but my car is not big enough to carry it in once piece.
Great question! A general rule of thumb for this one is to have one quarter of the total length overlapping. For extra strength you can go with a third overlapping.
Yes, that can happen depending on material used and tightness of wraps. If you are having difficulty with the wraps not getting tight enough to hold the poles tightly to the stringers, then you can try frapping horizontally under the treads and above the stringer.
Sure! This would be the best way to use lashings for a seating area in a tree. Just make sure to tie it tight as shown in the video so the treads cant come loose.
The Floor Lashing can be used to create any flat surface like a wall, or ceiling. If you were to build a house you would be using mainly square and diagonal lashings to frame the house and then floor lashings to cover the frame.
