I do nothing to prep the pages other than adding matte acrylic paint. I have a playlist of all the videos in this series adn the first one shows how I am setting up the book. It is such a fun easy project ♥ Thanks for watching!
You can do this. I used to have a room like that. Can I help?. Start by getting rid of any visual rubbish eg coke bottles. Then organise ALL your craft into piles in seperate catorgories eg all your wool, paper, clothes etc. This may make a bigger mess but dont be disheartened. Sort each pile going around the room, - first declutter into 3 boxes, rubbish, give away, sell. Put your keeps into its designated spot. (this may change as you go along) Put Items away that dont belong in that room as you come to them. Hope this helps organizing one pile at the time. You are NOT a horder. You are a creator!!!!
I abandoned my Hobo weeks, too! I may go back to it in the future. I have that same 5-year diary and, surprisingly, kept up with it all year! There were a few weeks where I had to back-fill, but, overall, I did much better than expected! I am determined to finish the full 5 years, but I doubt I will do another one. My life is pretty boring and the space is so limited, I feel like you are hard-pressed to find something substantive that will fit in the space. It's great that you had your emails to your Mom to help fill the spaces! Wish my kids would call, text, or email me regularly! Love how chunky your Stalogy's became! I need to put more tip-ins in my EDC!
I think you did quite well keeping up. I’m notorious for starting planners and never finishing. Except my pocket moterm. That’s my catch-all. I get busy, maybe a bit lazy…when my time becomes crunched, I tend to make things with yarn over spending time in planners. But I LOVE my planners/journals. I definitely need it all pre-drawn. I have been admiring your monthly layouts. They are beautiful. I’m going to start a 5 year gratitude journal inspired by you. I think I’m going to use a composition notebook for that. I really like the idea of having the comparison of each year. Looking forward to seeing what you do this year. Thanks for sharing.
My planning style is very functional, so you would think I would embrace Hobonichi, but I just couldn't. I missed bullet journaling too much! I do like having monthly and weekly pages already drawn out for me, but I also keep a lot of lists (books to read, movies to watch, budget/savings goals, etc.) so a book-bound setup is not flexible enough! Also, I don't journal or memory-keep in my planner, so I would never fill up 2 pages per day! I have been using a Standard TN with a monthly and weekly insert plus one blank insert for all of my reference material (birthdays, doctors and prescriptions, addresses) and lists. It is working really well! I am using my stickers from last year's Sterling Ink sub as well--so many to use! I do have several Hobonichi A6 covers because I could not resist them (I love the Liberty florals.) They may get used as a portable "purse planner" someday, holding just a blank notebook.
I love the idea of bullet journalling (and did it for several years) but I always fall behind in setting things up and then slack off in maintining the journal... We shall see how this works!
I think it looks awesome. The cover is very nice. Looks perfect to me. I’m very attached to my moterm pocket rings. And this year decided on a moterm travelers standard. I used one a couple years ago and really miss it. I have several other rings sizes… I want to use them all at once. Pure silliness on my part. I’m seriously considering using composition notebooks with a cover. Attaching a couple like the travelers. I’m a note taker. I write almost everything down. The more room I have to write, the better I like it. I’ve watched a couple of the composition videos and thinking… I don’t stick to over complicated or putting a lot of work into decorating spreads/layouts. I’m more of a sticker or 2 maayyybe some washi. But mostly just ink and highlighters. I love watching others do it though. I also have digital planners. I love the concept but just haven’t jumped in all the way yet. I like paper and pens too much. But the wanna be minimalist in me longs to embrace digital. As always, thanks for sharing. I always enjoy your content.
So interesting that the green looks yellow from the back. I really like this color. I have enjoyed this inkvent very much. So much fun. A lot of colors I wouldn’t normally know anything about. I appreciate these vids. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Probably not although I did spend more time using the letters and not the other categories. And I have not done much with it for some time now - it is still incomplete!
Day 6 is really pretty. I kinda think the chameleon aspect of the ink was coming out. See how it’s goldish and orangish? Looked like a tea pot with a bubble on it. Lol. That’s a really nice color as well. I’m really all liking your inks so far. Really curious what sweet dreams smells like.
