Time-lapse videos of gardens built by two landscapers in the uk.

We've been employed in landscape construction for over 15 years and worked for many companies, contractors and designers in that time. You'll sometimes see us wearing blue or red depending on the project.

Everything is an example of how it can be done and not set guidelines as we take no liability for the accuracy of information shared on this channel. There are fantastic colleges, training academies and landscaping trade groups on facebook with people appointed in the landscaping industry to provide free up to date information.

Sharing these videos is down to youtube being such inspiration of peoples crafts and skills. This is what we do - This is how we landscape.

Sam

NB due to our small size we only work directly for two designers and as a result can not follow up any other work enquires at this time.

All videos are copyright and not to be used without permission.

That is so helpful, thank you. I was wondering how I was going to do it, but I can see now that it's really simple.

What the hell is with the concrete :-). Placed on about 1 inch of concrete? And about 2 inches from each side? This is surely fast but not durable.

is paving better or resin in terms of wear & tear vehicle usage over it etc?
@robertmacmillan6027
@robertmacmillan6027 Месяц назад
In my opinion I would go for block paving resin is far to expensive in my opinion not worth the money and really can't be patched if anything happens was in the trade for 26 years

@@robertmacmillan6027 oh thanks for that but i already went for resin installation too late now anyway lol

looks class mate - i’m doing a clay paver path next week, laying my edging pavers on mortar with a haunch and then screeding the sharp sand off of those. When you lay the pavers, do you butt them up to each other, or leave a few mm gap? says to leave a gap online for the kiln sand to get in there, but would they not just wiggle around as you’re laying them if not butted up?
@HowWeLandscape
@HowWeLandscape 2 месяца назад
Hi mate, yeah they do want them with a tiny gap so they're not touching. They are odd shapes so there will always be voids for sand but we sometimes use thin slips of card to space them. You can also lay small sections and kd sand it as you go - but use loads of string lines as you cant straighten them once sanded. They're a bit fiddly to start but awesome material to work with 👍

I can’t count how many times I’ve seen less than average work and the person responsible makes the owner feel they are unreasonable by saying it’s within tolerance. You only have to look at this video where things are done properly and to a high standard to know that when somebody justifies poor work by saying it’s within tolerance they are talking out of their behind.

Great garden, almost 100% nature free. No wildlife…..
@HowWeLandscape
@HowWeLandscape 3 месяца назад
For a small garden it holds a conifer hedge, laurel hedge, 2 mature apple trees and is overlooked by a huge maple. We planted a mature amelanchier, a forrest pansy, 3 cherry trees and a copper beach near the house. A Robinia pseudoacacia near the bench (now huge) and 6 acres and multiple grasses in the gravel area. The wall trellis and pergola are now hidden by clematis and evergreen jasmin (trachelospermum) and the customer has since put in hundreds of perennials and annuals in the beds (and in pots and raised planters on the patio) They've left the small back section of grass to rewild - now knee high and flowering. There's a green house and cold frame both used to grow in all year round. So I wouldn't class it as '100% nature free' - how it looked on completion isnt how it looks now - Gardens take decades to mature!
