WELCOME to Mack's Extreme River Fishing ! I am an Avid Angler/Canoer from Central NC who fishes DUH mainly rivers and creeks but also anywhere I can catch fish or see the beautiful outdoors. I do Canoe Fishing, Bank fishing and even fish from a float tube. I will fish for anything and everything. My Fishing mainly takes place in NC and I fish most of the rivers here. I also venture into Southern Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and Northern Florida. I have playlist of lots of species and places so just search my channel to see what you like. We are going to try this modification. I wish they would up grade that crappy thick non sharp hook. Further... Quality Control is lacking; To much solder globbed on hook, hook not super straight , canted at times. The spoon is designed to rock side to side at 35 degrees. So do these poor Quality control issues afect the luresj action to a significant degree?? You would have to conduct a comprehensive Test.

Any tips for targeting them in super weedy and swampy areas. I’m talking spots that don’t even look like a fish could live in? Been fishing a bottom no one’s ever fished in before that’s mainly small patches of water with heavy weeds, lots of cypress sness, fallen logs and anything else you could imagine that’s in a swamp. Lots of bowfin like a ridiculous amount. Caught several over 10 pounds in this location and lost some absolute giants (had a fish straighten out a heavy wire ewg and another break a 7/0 name brand circle hook clean in two )but it’s just hard to fish even weedless baits come back covered in grass. A weightless Texas rig with a large curly tell worm has performed the best so far (besides cut and live baits on free float rigs and sometimes suspended under a popping cork) top water frogs get hit but the hookup ratio is poor compared to bass fishing with one. Idk figured I’d see if anyone had any tips or ideas on targeting them in that kinda cover. Some patches of water are only a few feet across but absolutely packed with fish, they have so much pent up energy at that range it’s incredible I’ve been lucky to land as many as I have tbh.

I love fishing there. I have been looking for a small piece of property to park a camper. I am not rich enough to purchase anything near the lake. Worked my entire career as a wastewater operator, so i barely have a retirement. I go less now because I cannot afford the travel and stay for very long.
Yeah YeahI know I mispelled "Across" in the video but this outfit so far has done extremely well. The reel is reel (lol) smooth and the rod is very nice.
Good to hear that Carolina Accent and Talk... My home State. Go Tarheels. I live in Florida, going to Rodman on July 19th, 2024. I go there about 4 times a year. God Bles and keep the Vids coming.
I have the KastKing sharky 4000 baitfeeder reels. The clickers on all 3 have failed. These alarms saved me from scrapping those reels. Besides the clicker failing, they work great.
Back close to 30 years ago we caught a bunch of eels up in Sandy Creek, between Ramseur and Franklinville in Randolph county. I didn't know much about them at the time. Years later when I learned about their lives, I always wondered how they got to where we caught them with all the dams. Maybe land locked? Who knows.
Absolutely awesome video, very informative! Thank you!! Would you say this canoe is good for two guys to fly fish out of? Looking for a stable fly fishing car topper canoe... THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
yes two could flyfish but the back one can stand if the front person is sitting. Harder for the front person to stand and balance as the front is narrower.
Beautiful river. Thanks for picking up all that trash! I went carp fishing this past Saturday. Caught 10 catfish (1 bullhead, 1 channel, and the rest white) and 6 carp. Biggest carp was only 6 or 7 pounds. Most of the cats were small, but several of the white cats were 2-3 lbs. Under a Sport Brella all day and plenty of ice water, but, by 3 PM when I packed up and left, I was so spent I wondered if I could make the several hundred yard wagon pull back to the car. Hot as Hades is right!
that drone video had me drooling i cross the deep river sometimes these shots make me wanna go right NOW if you wanna see litterbugs wait til after the damn 4th😢
