I have young children, I have started investing for them and intend to get them involved with it and try and make them as financially literate as possible by the time they receive it at 18. Having come from a council estate I had to try teach myself and agree this should be taught in some respect. Great show.

If you earn under £100,000 as a couple including the rent. You are still very much better off having property in your own name. For the guy in the video, obviously he earns a lot more than that. It’s all about your circumstances as always.
Everyone's circumstances are different. That is why it is vital to educate yourself and gather as much information as possible to identify what is right for you.

I thought only limited companies could be sponsoring organisations to a SSAS. However, Kevin Whelan says that a limited partnership or a limited company can be such a sponsor. What is the reality? Thanks.
It must be approaching nearly forty years since I last visited Newcastle. It was freezing, though you could not tell by the skimpy clothes that were being worn by the young woman going around the pubs and clubs!
I was in my late 40's when I bought Andrew's book about 10 years ago, and without blowing smoke up his ass, it did change my life. I did move house, moved closer to my place of work, and sold the car to get money to invest. Now I save 40% of my income, own my home rather than rent, and can actually consider retiring at 60. As for my politics, I am very much on the left, additionally, I own far more cook books than I do personal finance books.
This also results in a lack of useful numeracy in kids now. Cant count, cant add stuff up etc. All small kids should have cash when going to shops for small purchases. X

Yeah but who’s going to give us money to ‘double our money’ once we get up over a fiver or so? If doubling up over 31 days was that simple, surely everyone would do It right??
Thanks Chris and Kevin...I pay into my employer pension scheme and via WB have just had my SSAS approved so thank you for that. My employer doesn't offer salary sacrifice, is there anyway around this. And for my understanding if not salary sacrifice what is the other type of pension contribution method referred to? Am I right in thinking that if salary sacrifice is being used then I would pay less NIC and ALSO less income tax?

Hi Kevin. Great podcast. Quick Question. When buying a Commercial Property, imbedded Capital Allowances are available if they have not already been claimed. When a SASS buys Commercial property if they have not already been claimed can the CA still be claimed or is there no point to a claim because the contents of the SASS are already outside of tax ?
The beauty of Capital Allowances is that they help to reduce the tax liability of the user of them. But, since a SSAS pays no taxes, then CAs become a bit redundant. Perhaps the commercial property can be bought by the sponsoring limited company, the CAs squeezed dried, and then sell it to the SSAS?

If it is possible can you please answer this.....I understood the annual max to remove from your pension was 10%so that was c.£100,000....and so, is it now 10% of the unlimited pot.?
Thanks for your question. I have spoken with Kevin and he said there is no 10% limit on withdrawing funds from your pension. There wasn’t before or after the lifetime allowance changes. Dont believe a word this "marcus de maria" says..he has been peddling all sort of get rich schemes in various forms...went to one of his "investment clinics" it was all just a classic bullshit scam to get money..lots of it from your wallet into his..i am amazed he hasnt been arrested...avoid this scam artist like the plague...
