I ordered monkey boots over a year ago his payment method is pay half at ordering process and rest of it will be before shipping price range starts i believe 1000$-**** i still have to wait another 6 months 😅😅😅
I found this great video while trying to find information on Sargent's 109 last as I like the look of their black cap toe Armfield. Having a slim ankle and a rather narrow heel, I am afraid 109 could be too roomy, especially in the heel area. Could you tell me how 109 fits compared with C&J's 325 and 341? Both fit me quite well, although they are better with thicker socks, as their heels are a bit wider than I need, particularly 325. As black cap toes like Armfield should not be worn with thicker socks, I am worried that they would be too wide in the heel and ankle areas if that is where 109 are wider than C&J's 325 and 341. Very grateful for any advice.
@@wishoeguy Thanks a lot. I ordered Armfield a few days ago and will see how it fits. I may need heel grips and/or tongue pads, but the price was good and I thought it is worth trying.
I got some Sagara Cordmasters in Horsebutt Maryam Toscanello. They are very comfortable from the get-go and that leather is just 😍. Definitely recommend anyone to have a look if you like this style.
Hi! Did not get answer still on why for split toe, some assumption that some moc toe benefits with higher sides , luxury dress moc toe witch shows shoe makers skills? Could anyone expant the love of the style?
If you are looking for TLB Mallorca shoes, it's best buying from them online directly, even if its a bit more expensive. Skolyx online customer service from Sweden was confusing and complicated. Not worth the time and not straightforward at all. In fact, I gave up on them after multiple emails. I couldn't even understand what they were trying to explain. Even if you have to wait for longer for delivery and /or pay more it's best dealing with the manufacturer directly from Mallorca . You get an honest customer service.
Those boots are fantastic! They get that balance, nicely. They’re a bit refined, while still plenty rugged. Parkhurst are at the top of their game right now.
Gyw shoes are an investment in time, not money. You’re absolutely right about that. No return. But compared to buying $100 shoes you have to throw away after 6 months these last 20-25 years so it’s different. These shoes are $1700 a pair so you’re parting with a ton of money to buy them compared to regular Goodyear welted shoes. You’re buying these for the look. The “worth it” equation is in the eye of the beholder.
@@wishoeguy You misunderstood me If you are buying shoes at this price point - Shoes are more of a passion than investment , as you never attach any value to passion .. you are just passionate about it .. period ! Hence, the point on investment .. be it time / money .. passion is not bound by either - if you catch my drift Totally agree these shoes will last a lifetime and they will obviously be better than your 100 dollar shoe. :) Happy collecting :)
I’ve never seen a style on par with the Avignon from another brand. The look is pretty unique. Split toes in general are available from CNES, Meermin, Finnsbury (if you’re looking for French alternatives) or Orban’s.
You are UNSTOPPABLE!! Scafora makes absolutely lovely shoes but your new pair is completely next level. I'm pretty familiar with most of your collection. In my opinion these wingtips are something really special. I haven't seen a shoe unboxing of something of this caliber in quite some time. Very nicely done! Wear those in good health!!
@@wishoeguy wanted to give you an update. I had no idea how different shell would be versus the leather shoes I already had. It is so smooth and firm in comparison to the redwings, grant stone kangaroo, and seidel tobacco stampede leathers. I really like it. I was wondering about allen edmunds park avenue/65 last sizing. Can I dm you on insta to ask?
Great video! I own a pair of scotch grain NSTs by Carmina in a dark brown, and I’m looking to get some black Alden NSTs. I do love Alden’s color 8, but do you think the markup for the Cordovan 2211 is worth it vs. the 961 calfskin version?
It’s a tough question. Many speak very highly of Alden shell but I wasn’t impressed. I felt the quality was more on the Meermin standard than the Allen Edmonds.
@@wishoeguy Thanks for the reply and info! I also own a pair of AE Randolph loafers in a black cordovan, which are great. However, I honestly find cordovan a little less impressive in black in comparison to brown/color 8.
