Looking through the comments I feel like we got the same issue around the same time. I have the Samsung Model HT-J4500 Bluray player. I saw on a different RU-vid channel their may be a class action lawsuit against this. This is a bootloop problem Morgan & Morgan is the law firm handle the issue their phone number is 1-888-987-0293.
I called 1-800-SAMSUNG(726-7864) I gave my model pin off the back they checked if it was under warranty of course ive had it two years it was not.I described it turning off and on after a wifi update. They paid for shipping from a local ups store to them repaired it and sent it back in under two wks at no cost. Works like the day i bought it. Had to put in all my netflix prime passwords in again so they did some sort of reset on it. Had a service barcode sticker on the back. Only regret was i sent it to them in the original factory box with foam inserts and did not get that back. They sent it back fast bubble wrapped in a ups box.
Everyone with a blue ray DVD player should complain to the Korean embassy/consulate regarding the lack of communication from Samsung and blacklist all Korean products. Remember your very expensive phone could be next
Terry Wright why would you want to waste your time complaining??? All you have to do is contact Samsung. I contacted them, and they took care of everything IMMEDIATELY. They provided me with a FREE UPS shipping label, instructions, etc. I shipped them my Blu-ray DVD player, and it was fixed (@ no cost to me), and returned to me in approximately 1 week. Come on people, don’t you all have better, and more productive things to do than complain?
yup, same thing happened to my bluray model J5700, i tried the factory reset and USB firmware update, but no luck, at this time the only option is the garbage disposal
They have broken basically every one of their networked Blu Ray player they've sold in the last 5 years. Don't buy Samsung products until this is fixed!
Hey, I got the same player that you got! I just went out and bought a new Sony 3D Blu-Ray player, love my Samsung but this is too much, I'll never purchase another Samsung product in my life, I just don't like the way Samsung is dodging this issue. I'm out of 250 bucks I spent on my Samsung Player, maybe watched 25 movies on it, plus another 200 plus dollars on the Sony player I just bought. Been an expensive week considering I'm not working and stuck at home because of Covid-19.
Ouch! Ya. Seeing how far reaching this issue is I’d hope that Samsung would address it but I doubt it. Goodbye Samsung! Never buy another Samsung product again.
Follow up! I did need to clearance about a half an inch from the rear jack point. It was contacting the header. Also, definitely felt some hp gain as well as throttle response.
