You just skipped Kedah/Langkawi 😅. Oh this is a roadtrip. You visited Kedah last time reminded me of one Kedah's fairy tale? Myth? History with extras? It's about a king who become a Vampire/Dracula after one of her maids cut her finger when preparing his meals. Fortunately, the king loves the meal very much. So he ask his maid to answer truthfully, then he ordered all his meal must be cook with human blood, His bloodthirsty getting worsen days by days, from prisoners, criminals and even his people. He no longer wait for the blood become a meal , he would enjoyed it raw. Those "Pembesar" who can't stand with this monsters make a rebellion to this monster and chased him all the way through Kedah thus naming places around kedah like Sik, Sok, Baling ,Siong etc. Some said he run away to Pattani (this area are still part of Tanah Melayu back then) . This even makes this Kingless country became chous state even in both inside and outside conflicts. Kedah need to pay Siam golden tree for years. Also kinda proof Tikam Batu is among oldest smithery in the world. Unfortunately, Kedah now having a disaster flood issues so I don't think you could travel and enjoy much.

Pekan Rabu is a go-to place when our friends come to visit. They borong all from ikan pekasam to asam jawa fresh from there. The hot baulus are also their favourite. Nasi Lemak Royale as with many other Kedah Nasi Kandars like Nasi Lemak Ali, Nasi Yasmeen boasts of authentics and unique tastes that suit different tastebuds of the locals.
