Yep, BSG reversed a change that they rebalanced the entire ammo/armor economy for and how armor findamentally works so now the weakness of more exposed areas doesn't counteract just how tanky they made all armor be this wipe, and did nothing to reverse it. You have class 6 protection stacked with class 3 and only a few calibers rn actually have good pen ammo availability to match just how wildly available (40 ways to acquire class 5/6 with crafts and traders) high tier armor is. IMO, BSG should reduce the amount of class 5/6 on traders as an immediate fix, and then from there figure out a way to reduce how bullet spongy armor is now after the rework of the rework without making it feel useless. Readding meta ammo to traders and crafts just ends up nullifying all armor and leads to another stale experience on the opposite end of the spectrum to now.

this change sucks ass to me as a casual player who does not grind the game, before i had a chance to kill someone with the bullets i have access to by hitting the spots where there is no armor giving me a change to enjoy the game, but now i shoot someone to the gaps in their armor, but no they still count as it would go through the plate and the soft armor.
start of wipe you could kill anyone with pst gzh 9mm if you just shot them at shoulder height which made ultra high pen ammo redundant but this just took tarkov back to when you could stack an armoured rig on top of a vest and become a walking tank i think it just needs dialing down a bit and then it would be perfect
I straight up stopped using it and did just find without it before the armor update. Either they could have made armor better like they did or make it way cheaper otherwise you get scrubs like me with a cheap rifle negating peoples high cost piece of kit entirely. Since the update I do wear armor since its actually worth the penalties so I guess that's what they wanted
Personally I think the devs are just desperate to increase player counts so They want to make the game more casual by making armor insane so people can be dumb and still win when in reality its only going to drive away the core audience of their game because the core audience wants the opposite of casual gameplay its literally the whole point of these types of games its supposed to be sweaty.... it shouldnt matter what kind of armor your have if you take 17 rounds from any rifle from 10 feet away your going to drop.... you might be alive but you ARE going to be laying on the ground
Doesn't that just mean the good armor is working. If that first guys was wearing level 3 then yea ok thats fucked but if he's wearing level 6 then its doing its job right? Would you just prefer no armor at all... what are you getting at?
This game is different... 1v5, 1v4, 2v4, 2v5... Imagine I have 3 mags and ammo is hard to buy alot... If first guy take 20 bullets to die what about rest of his squad? hope this makes sense...
@@Talib_K well if they're wearing shit armor then your good... if they're wearing level 6 you're going to need to mag dump or head shots. Otherwise what is the point in wearing armor... do you want them to remove armor? What your solution? High tier ammo probably should be a little more effective i'll give you that.
give us m855a1, 762 BP, BS 545 so we can run multiple caliber also ... make ammo cheaper then i have no issue if I have 5 juiced magazine of 60 rounders.
Bro.. im sorry but tarkov has never been realisitic. hyper realistic in some ways but its always played like call of duty.. Go watch any big streamer play factory and youll see exactly what i mean. Nerds popping every stim known to mankind, full sprinting the entire map just holding W key quick peeking every corner with perfect hipfires, or dumping full 60 round mags with laser beam precision. pretty much been this way since the start.
@@Talib_K Yeah i definitely dont disagree with you either. i just started playing again, currently level 18 and this is pretty much every gun fight for me if i dont headshot. not having access to high quality ammo really fucking sucks, they gotta fix up the pen values for lower tier ammo.
Tarkov 2020 was the best it ever was then BSG kept changing shit instead of finishing the fucking game. I havent played the live game since 2022 only SPT now.
@@Talib_K But Nikita did fix the problem soon after the Unheard edition. And tbh id rather upgrade to Unheard than putting money into ABI or Delta Force they both look like a snooze fest 🤪🤪 Also its late wipe its always dead.
I'll tell you honestly what I think. The new hitbox suits a minority of players who want Tarkov to be a competitive and fun game. It's the equivalent of what the old tactical rainbow six and today's rainbow six were with blue haired characters. It's the same evil. If no one protests, bsg will not anything.
@@Talib_K When you kill someone, You have to constantly take care of yourself. The armor system was perfect. We had to make the health system in line with the armor system, and that would have been very immersive. And I don't hope it will come to Call of Duty's Apex skin. Let him keep a serious game.😱
that is the armor system everyone wanted lolololol. Let's see how it plays out in wipe 0.15. It's pretty bad how high tier ammo is 9 hour crafting and you get a solid 2 raids worth. Best trader ammo is Hybrid and M62, so SPEAR/MDR is meta AF. Boring. BSG created a meta.
@@Talib_K I think with wipe it'll be a whole different story. We'll see. I still believe BSG moved the pendulum so far left with the initial armor change, and they shifted that pendulum so far right with the recent armor change. Therefore, neither are the right solution. With how precise the game is programmed, there would have to be overhauls to many major systems to find a proper balance.... unless that balance is established early and mid-wipe, and there are more opportunities to acquire class 5/6 penetration ammo late wipe. Right now, 90 rounds per 9 hours crafting just ain't cutting it.

If they’re gonna make armor make you invincible, they should add in a knockdown chance mechanic. You may not die from those shots if you have armor on but it’s definitely knocking you down and taking your breath away in real life.
No, no it's not. That's not how physics works. If the round would knock you over/break ribs/ knock your wind out of you, it would also BREAK THE SHOULDER OF THE GUY SHOOTING IT. Newton thinks you're retarded. In reality, the "falling down when you get shot" thing is a psychological reaction, not a physical one. The force of the round is being transferred to a 10x12in space and distributed fairly evenly. The guy shooting feels more recoil impulse then the guy getting shot.
I have a huge TTV after my name in BSG... Every squad I kill 2 , 3rd one do stream sniping... They copy my name and come to stream.... Some are good they only write ggs and move.... to next game...

many players are leaving this game... share this clip so BSG fix this ... in COD you get lobbies 4 men, 3 men, duos, solo... tarkov is random you don't know how many players... It needs to be little realistic
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.
