Why andouille? I am puzzled. New Orleans didn’t sell andouille in the groceries until after Paul Prudhomme introduced Cajun cuisine in the 1970s. I know of no one who has acquired a taste for it

Nice work! Is the turning affected by a heavier object on the tray? I just wondered, if something was heavier and putting more pressure and friction between the two pans that are turning together, whether or not it would have trouble turning.
Growing up, we had a ceiling to (almost to the) floor capiz chandelier that gave the illusion of 3 circular shapes, which had a light fixture inside each ball. Our was yellow capiz shell, so what type of paint (brand/type) did you use to mimic the natural iridescence of the capiz shell?
