We try and keep things light hearted and fun, it makes the often long days of work, fly by!
Good luck with the new drill Joe there a cracking machine. Surprised no scales with it? You'll be buying the discs to go under the drill instead of the power harrow next👍
New drill looks good. Next job with winter coming on is to purchase a 12v battery and a 3amp trickle charger pet anent hooked on. This will save you hours when one of your 24v systems go flat. You are losing daylight hours shortly. In the military we learned early that batteries were our be all and end all. This applies to farming as well. Don’t throw it in a corner or stick it on a bench. Put it in wooden cabinet with small suction hose and small fan from a computer to suck gases out and charger attached. This will pay for itself the first time you have battery failure on a repeated basis. You will save time, expense and get the. Intend ed job done. The cheapest insurance money can buy. Just in time is someone else’s time at your considerable expense and never your convenience.
New drill looks a good bit of kit. Hope you can keep the damage fairies away from it. Great vid as ever, Big Mick could have gone with you and bought some wellies from Ripon the tight bugger.
Great video Joe, the new KUHN HR3030 drill looks like a proper beast. You'll be putting it through it's paces no doubt. The old drill did you well but I think looking at the build quality of the new one it will see you right for a long time. 👌👍.
Good mixers think our 18cu with straw blower is coming into it 7th season only just starting to se notable wear on augers, knives are very expensive and some parts like 90 bends on the hoses on the elevator aren't common here so can be a long wait always keep a spare!
On 24volt system the bad battery will invariably drag the good battery down to its level. In an ideal world you would swap the batteries as a pair so that they can operate efficiently as a pair, if you have an older spare battery of roughly similar vintage to the better battery stick the spare on with it. It’s possible that the duff battery may be stopping the better battery from accepting charge from the alternator. Sort the batteries before looking elsewhere.
Phone swap is a nightmare, i got a temporary phone from the father in law! Your basically logged out of everthing and i carnt remember what i did yesterday nevermind a password from 3 years ago!! Good luck!!
With the alternator running you should have at least 27 volts registering on a multi meter. looks like coil on the stater also faulty change the starter. I think you would be surprised how cheap the after market people can supply these
As others have said, sounds alternator ish. Check the voltage while it's running. If it's not been putting enough voltage out could easily have killed a cell in one of the batteries.
Great video Joe, I'm sure you will get to the bottom of the problem with the digger electrics. Nice work with the ditching👌, the "Ginger Warrior" and Tom P would be proud of what you are doing. At least can get on with land maintenance at the moment with the weather unlike others less fortunate further down South.👍.
Evening Joe, another packed video again, thank you, hope Becky and the kids keeping well You'd think with a name like Noah a drop of water wouldn't defeat him, obviously not on floatation tyres Joe Please be honest, was it the digger jump starting the land rover lol 😅 Take care all Geoff
