I can't say thank you enough for doing this video! I got stranded and because of you I was able to troubleshoot and switch out my relays. I was able to get my bike home thankfully. I have replaced both relays and now we'll tackle the starter. Thank you again!
2006 street glide i have the starter unbolted it starts to come out but seems to want to suck itself back a little bit you didnt have to take off the primary cover for anything ?
Great job iv had the same problem when my bike gets hot and I shut it off and I go to start it it makes a terrible noise like it hard to start up. Then it starts. I'm going to change the starter. And see. Thanks for your video.
Great video. Thanks for the info. I purchased all the same stuff, including the elimator, but for some reason, no change with my real lights. They don't stay on or light up as brake lights. I also have a 07 road king. Did I miss something?
Thanks for the video. I just put a 3 piece set on my 2010 Road King tonight and you told me exactly what I needed to successfully replace my lights. I did try to keep that small metal ring but as you said it just won't go back on there correctly with it and the LED both. Interesting choice on the LED manufacturers to prevent that from being used.
Some of the other RU-vid videos show leaving the 4 way flashers on for a minute and the computer learns not to hyper flash. No load stabilizer needed. Did you try this technique?
The rear and the front switches are independent of each other. Based on the fact that when you squeeze the front lever and the rear stop lamp is already on, that indicates that it is the front switch, not the rear.
I have no idea how you could have found a starter for only $125. (not at your hyperlink) Everywhere I look they cost over $300. (except 2 at J&P for $267 & $260) Many starters are over $400, especially chrome. (J&P, Revzilla, Dennis Kirk, etc)
I got mine at DB Electrical. I just check their web page. My starter is now $145. Still a deal. Hope this helps. www.dbelectrical.com/products/starter-for-harley-king-shrine-classic-2007-2016-31618-06a-31619-06a-shd0013.html
This is amazingly helpful! Thank you so much for posting this. Your explanation makes this so easy to follow. Thanks again. Keep these coming, buddy. Mo.
