Hello there I’m KathyY and I’m a scrapbooker, journal maker and miniature enthusiast.
My instagram is 1sweetshoppecrafts Many crafts I make are found there as I have been posting there a long time. I have had my 1SweetShoppe as far back as 2008. Back then I started crafting and selling flower sets. New to RU-vid and learning as I go. In the planning for some craft with me videos for the future. My plans are to post the completed journals I work on as they progress and are finished. I also do a variety of handmade crafts as journal additions tags, clusters, paperclip embellishments, postcard pretties… you get the picture. I’ll post those here also and maybe you’ll be inspired to create your own. If you are interested in the smaller side of life check out the miniatures I have added to my channel. Adorable ideas and where I found them.
I love the oval frame dies. I believe your first attempt on cutting the large oval one didn't cut completely because your 2 extra pieces of shim paper on the bottom were more to the left side of your cutting plates. There was not enough pressure on the right side of the die because there wasn't any shim paper under that side of the die. I'm glad they all worked out for you. I'm going to have to find those teeny tiny flowers. Thanks for sharing.
@@susanpetrowski3908 I think that’s what went wrong also. I have cut more of these with a better shim and they have worked better. Love these frames I can’t wait to layer them and give them dimension.
I love this! You can never go wrong with kitties. The sayings and kittens themselves are cute! The project looks quick and easy; fun thing to do while I watch TV. Thanks for sharing.😊
Next time to break in the intricate Dies use WAX PAPER And a shims ❤ If you take them and throw them against the floor sometimes all those little bits and pieces of pop out of it and it'll be nice and clean
@@ginaconrad9765 they sure are! Look at what I am making with them. It’s so amazing! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GQ5fM_7_vC8.htmlsi=CfBBxj4a0-OZjT9U
Thank you Kathy for sharing this 💕 I loved the finished results. Just wondering if you could possibly check to make sure that you’re “in frame “😉 I missed seeing quite a bit of the video
I will keep trying as it seems my workspace has been getting smaller and smaller. Once I get moved I’ll have a much better and larger space for my videos. Thanks for the advice! I’ll keep trying better! Thanks for popping in to visit. 🌹
@@jacquelinemoffatcraftyjacq4399 thank you so much for the info! I’ll make sure to do that in the future as I haven’t even thought about it damaging the cutting groove. 🌸 I bet I’ve messed a few up doing that!
@@conniethomasson7333 Welcome to the 1SweetShoppe and thank you so much. I love meeting new friends here. I love to show the fun I have at my crafting table. Have a wonderful day Connie!🌺
@@ScrapandCraftQueen hello there! Welcome and I love meeting new friends. If you surf around in my video you’ll find my fairy journals I completed a week or so ago that have all these flowers used in them. I hope I see you again and thank you!🌺 and oh my gosh I can’t wait to go through your haul videos! I might find something I’ll love! 😄
@@2boysmom938 that is an awesome idea also and it will keep everything fresh and separate for the next planting season. Veggies in some flowers in others. I like that idea too🌺👍🏻
You’re right! Those are great space savers! I even have one with jewelry stuff in it and I have an extra which I “ll probably put more ephemera into. I buy when they go on sale at Michael’s and save tons!😁
@@donnacarraway9182 this is my first time having them but I love it already. Jewelry in it would be amazing to be organized. Mine is in an old purse! More ideas! ❤️
Thank you! Can you please share where you got the cute flower balloon paper? The only ones I found were A4 in size. If you’re using A4 size, does it cut off part of the design when you print it on 8.5 x 11 inch paper? Thank you!
@@donnacarraway9182 The page with the flower ballon on it? If so it is a printable from polka art studio, I’ll find out which one had this print as I buy so many they all tend to drift together. It is a page from one of the fairy journal packs she offers. I went through my Etsy purchases and found it listed as : Junk Journal Digital Kit "Fairy Land" Printable Fairy Fantasy Collage Papers, Magic Fairy Journal, Scrapbook, Watercolor Paper Craft Project PolkaArtStudio Also this was journal pages so two page designs print on one copy size paper.
@@TheElly76 I love using my cuttlebug again and Temu has a huge selection of cutting dies. I just ordered a few more in other designs so we will see whats to come. I love the selection of paper crafts Temu has also. So fun to have beautiful products to inspire us to craft with. I’m so happy how affordable Temu is. Thank you for joining our crafting. I love this community of crafters that are popping in to share ideas and offer encouragement to others.
No time wasted--I enjoyed this video! I can't wait to see the flowers you make with these dies! I need to get back into using mine. Watching this video gave me a bit of a push to do so and have some fun witih them!
@@CraftyMomma05 thank you! I also had forgotten how beautiful they turn out! Check the covers of my fairy books I’ll post. I used these flowers on them and they turned out fantastic. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M2wsspNz_nc.htmlsi=mVrokBY-JVCVQ6wH
Hi again Kathy! Just wondering where you got the cute butterflies that are sitting on your desk? I love to have colorful butterflies!! Thank you! Please keep making videos!!💕Just recently found you!😊
Hi Donna the butterflies were some I bought from design bundles and they were quite large so I sized them down in procreate so I could use the smaller ones with my tag projects.
Love the idea!!! I might see if the pockets that I have would work for something like that although I have so many…maybe at least a subset for a certain project could work! Or maybe just the smaller ones! Brilliant!! I label my pockets and put them into alphabetical order and then make a Directory list so that I can get ideas as to where to look! Works well!! Thanks! Donna C.💕
Great idea!! Try and see what you come up with. So far I have created 2 carousels now and I use them every time I craft. I’m thinking they were a great idea. I hope you find pockets you can use. Happy crafting! 🌺
Hey Kathy, I have that exact paper! Yes, this is a great project for it because it’s thin paper, perfect for envelope type things! On camera the yellow looks good as envelopes too…almost like the tan colored ones but brighter. I’m sure the patterned paper will tame it a bit! Good choice!
We are lucky people when we can use up all that paper we hoard l. I have a huge box full so I’m thankful for every piece I use. I might try some more. Love the way these matched up.
I try not to use hot glue because of how fast it dries and how bulky it makes the paper sit. It dries so fast that it is very hard to get paper smooth without lumps. Once it is on you cannot correct mistakes. I use usually a glue that gives me a bit of drying time incase I make a mistake in how I set the paper on like I had done in the video and had to flip the page. I like the Fabri-tac or a fabric glue even though the cost is crazy in Canada for that glue. There are probably others that are good also but my selection where I live is limited.
@1SweetShoppe 🥰 yw! If you needed more stability you could just add a sturdy piece of cardstock or two in between them...or, even use that as a tabbed divider in between and then you'd know right where to get words, phrases, whale tails, etc
Those are perfect ideas and sending me in the right track for what I was hoping to accomplish. I’m going to do exactly as you suggested! Love the idea and thanks again! ❤
Thank you! I use elastic but I make them so that the elastic is between the outside spine and the inside spine. Similar idea! I also love being able to take the signatures out to work on them! Good work!!
I went to Temu and I. they failed and gave me my item. They failed. I ordered it in the beginning of January and it's It's already the middle of February. You're very lucky, my dear. Keep on showing what you can get. Deary,
Sorry to hear that, they have a policy that the item has to come in. Everything has a tracking number and if you click the link they send in your email it will take you to shipping and you can see where your parcel is. I watch mine all along the route right to the delivery to my door.
