Whilst at Purcell, students share a common bond in their passion for music with a community boasting creativity and mutual support.
The loud wail of the air raid sirens echoed through Poland's capitol of Warsaw. High above, German planes appeared right over the city. On their wings were black crosses and on their tails were swastikas, the sigil of the Nazi Party. Bombs fell from above, and tore at the heart of the Polish capitol. At the border, German tanks, trucks, cars, motorcycles and infantry crossed into Poland. The Second World War had begun
Hey, guys! I can't believe no one has commented. This is a MORE than credible performance. The nastiness of this selection (purposely by Holst--it's NOT sad or tragic--it's NASTY!) has never been done better by a youth orchestra. Many a premier orchestra has been known to phone this in, too. It takes an astonishment degree of commitment to play this piece correctly, and it's exhausting. Good conducting may account for some of that, but I give you al;; credit. Holst would be proud. Bravo. Tutti bravi!
Oh my friend and I really want to go to Purcell, but I'm not as good as he is, (he's grade 8) and i'm freelance, but we play together and I want to be a director and a games developer, and I don't think there will be a chance for me to go to such a good school, or perform in big orchestras :(
oh my god some people are taking this waaay too seriously. The idiot who said this is where money is wasted blah blah...this is a little bit of FUN! chill!
