Hello - My 2004 Z425 just started making a popping noise and running with a lack of power. PTO is able to engage but hardly. Air flow ruled-out as an issue. I tested the spark plugs and only one side can start the engine by itself. Tried cleaning the plug but did not help. Could this be the ignition coils? Thanks for your help -
My mower has pulleys on them that dont appear to come off. How would you remove the shaft out of the housing? Take the blades off and tap the shaft out?
Got a problem with mine, won't run right backfiring if it's not fully choked. Carb is brand new, fuel tanks clean with fresh fuel. And the carb gets ice cold while running
The vid was to show him getting it back up and running, which he did. I'm sure he went through it later on and found the additional problems. Nice fix for the fuel line, I'll have to remember that one.
Sir mine is leaking where the fuel line is connected to the tank. Not the one with the filter the other side. It looks ok but it’s used. I think it’s missing a sort of gasket
Thanks, mark for the. Tutorial on getting the machine going again. I worked on one of these snow blowers. And I noticed it was a 208 cc Engine. You mentioned that it had a 243 cc Engine , and I just want to make sure that that's the case. I couldn't find any differences at all between the one I worked on and this one. Thanks again and take care. 👍👍👍
I enjoyed your video, Do you have video on how to replace the deck? My Snapper self propelled lawnmower the deck has some rusted holes and would love to replace the deck since the motor works great, I don’t want to get a new lawnmower when the one I have still working fine. The lawnmower I have is exactly like the one you just replaced the motor on.
One thing I've noticed about snowblowers. Especially the one with Tecumseh engines. They always seem to starve for fuel. Like the jets are too small. Heard of people opening them up one size. That seems to help.
Nice repair with good explanations, mark. I must confess that I am surprised you did not check the gearbox for proper level of lubrication, and did not pull the belly pan to take a look gearing and friction wheel including necessary lubrication there as well. I guess it was not part of the work scope that the customer gave you for the repair of his machine. Thanks again and take care.
I need to ask a question. I have a zero turn JD z335, it is 2017, there is a grinding in the back left side of my mower. I had the belt and blades changed, it still does it some. Is there breakers on these mowers? Thank you! Could it be the idler pulley? Lol
I'm not a big fan of plastic everything, but these engines seem to do just fine if cared for. If not cared for, even the old bulletproof engines will fail.
