The Evergreen containers you see all over the place came from the flats I suspect The ballast wagons are likely stored after reballasting work on the nearby (soon to reopen after spending silly money) Blyth and Tyne route or even just from reballasting the Cambois branch this is the 'end of'??
Those look like they were owned by TFL with tube branding on the side, they have much more money than Network Rail so they can waste it on new waggons all the time.
Many thanks for uploading wonderful, I love this area immensely and have a lot of family living in the Blyth area, lived in Deleval in me mid teens for a while. Fantastic stuff seeing the area from above, any chance you can do Delaval, New Hartley and Crammy ❤❤. Will be up twice in October cannit wait. I'll be finding and watching your other vids cheer👍
that section between the Angel of the north to the junction of the A69 has been a bottle neck for 4 years some how i don;t think that it is going to improve as the area around the metro centre will no doubt be getting widened soon
A lot of green land has gone the journey for the sake of a bypass. Should have gotten China to do it as it would have been finished now, a lot cheaper. I am a bit curious about where you were standing while operating this amazing drone as I know the area well.
I think it's Harlow Green which is intetsected by Durham Road, in the very sooth of Geetsheed driven it many a time but divvint live in the area. You get some canny views from there.
The A1 going over the River Great Ouse in Bedfordshire near to St. Neots with the Black Cat roundabout getting a massive needs replacing and a new bridge to pass over the River Great Ouse.
3 lanes each way at Coal House junction, 4 lanes each way on the hill from Coal House to Eighton Banks. 3 northbound and 4 southbound at Eighton Banks junction. 3 each way plus continuous slip roads towards the next junction. The drone flight must be getting on for a year ago, traffic has been using the new bridge in both directions since last November.
Its a disgrace that the A1 is mainly a dual carriageway road and parts of it not lit at night. If it went through Islington it would be the best road in UK
the vast majority of dual carriageways are not lit, the absence of lights means its a 70 limit unless repeater signs are there, like in this section where is annoyingly 50 until beyond newcastle
North of this work in Northumberland into Scotland, lengths of the A1 are single carriageway. Some of the northern dual carriageway sections, are at nearly M-way standard, but the rest is not.
South of here it’s motorway all the way to J34 at Blyth in Nottinghamshire except for a short stretch of dual carriageway between Ferrybridge and Doncaster.
It's a matter of population density, new roads get built where there is the most population, and it becomes self fulfilling, because people then choose to live and locate businesses where there is good infrastructure. That's why the UK has a massive economic bias to the overcrowded South East; other countries recognize this problem and spread it out. Blame the treasury green book.
Another great flight mate keep up the good stuff, haven't been out with my drone for a bit been poorly but soon as I can will be up there in the sky flying around 👍🏻
I can still see me my brother and sister walking along from Simpson st to the pally to get the bus down to St John’s school down by the Tyne over sixty years ago
Great video. I am from Prudhoe and it's nice to see Ovingham and the bridge from above. The ones I have seen of Prudhoe Castle were also excellent. Keep up the good work.

Some great flying, I've been looking through your videos, just came across them by chance. I haven't lived in Newcastle for about 35 yrs and only recently went back to visit family, took my drone of course, I couldn't believe the changes. And looking at your videos of various places brought back a lot of memories. Especially Benwell, West Rd, Blaydon and Ashington (I also lived there for 15yrs). I need to get back more often as I only live in Cumbria. Thanks for showing them.
Hi, I'm a musician from County Durham. I'm creating a music video for a track I've written and wondered whether you'd allow me to use a few seconds from your brilliant video. I would credit you in the video's end credits. I should add that I make no money from the music. Thanks John.
