Thank you Ed Rasimus. I just finished 'When Thunder Rolled', that was a heck of a ride. It was great getting to know you and your buddies and I am so glad you told your tale. A real insight into the world of my heroes. Picking up 'Palace Cobra' ASAP. I am also so thankful for the opening scenes of 'There Is A Way', seeing Raz himself rolling in with Spider Spelius with the probes out, and knowing in a fair amount of detail just what these guys had been through in the hours preceding is quite unreal. And knowing that Thud he's sat in had 10lbs of gas left. Amazing stuff and how lucky are we to have that! That movie surely shows the rest of the guys from the book too, Karl Richter definitely is there and I feel very fortunate to be able to see him in his element, his story is also one of legend, I just really wish he made it. At least Raz did and told the story for us future generations to appreciate. Those men were all heroes.

I’m currently reading “when thunder rolled” for the 2nd time. I just picked it up again recently due to covid19 quarantine and some spare time on my hands. I didn’t know Ed had passed. RIP Ed, you were one hell of a person, pilot and author! Thank you for your service 🇺🇸

I knew ED, and loved him in spite of his Chicago self. Frankly, while he helped and supported me when he was alive, his greatest contribution was after he passed. I wrote my book to spite him!

Hey, thanks for the tour. Looking at taking a cruise on Zuiderdam next year and found your video helpful. I've done a few ship highlight videos and yours reminds me a lot of mine. I subscribed to your page, if you wouldn't mind checking out mine and possibly doing the same. Nice video.

One last thing----maybe. We were between aircraft F-4 and F-111 and the only aircraft assigned to base was a T-29. An F-111A from Nellis declared an emergency and landed at MUO. It was the first F-111 that our maintenance guys worked on at the base. Also, loved fishing at Anderson Ranch Dam and duck hunting on Snake river. Everytime I see this video I remember something else. Col Clark was our 366TFW Commander-----he retired in'83 as a LtGen.

This is fantastic. I only learned about Major Rasimus a short time ago, which is odd given the degree to which I have been steeped in military aviation, and especially the SEA conflict, over the years. Nonetheless, I have been amazed and impressed by his writing. I was very sad to hear that I will never have the chance to meet him due to his passing in 2013. It's a shame, he did not live far from me in North Texas, as I speak selfishly. God bless you and Major Rasimus. This is a worthy and much appreciated epitaph.
